Notice Server Check 04/10/13

Hello Maplers,

With this latest SC we bring MANY new exciting things. First, you will notice that the Downloads page has been made a little more simpler for Windows users. We now have an InstallShield Installer for MapleRoyals. All you need to do is download the setup.exe file and run the installer. Everything else is done for you!

Included in the new setup, is a new Map.WZ file which introduces our Halloween themed FM. For those who already have MapleRoyals installed, here is a direct download link to just the Map.WZ file (http://royals.ms/downloads/Map.wz) (NOTE: If you see gibberish when you click the file, right click the link and click Save Link As. Some browsers try to read the file like a text file instead of treating it as a downloadable link.)

In the new FM is Malady who will be accepting candies that will be dropped from all monsters in order to obtain Halloween themed items. Get your candies quickly as Malady will be disappearing at the end of October after the Halloween season is over.

In addition to these new features, here is a list of items fixed since the last SC:
VIP Rocks now working (thanks to Matt's pro skills )
HPQ glitch has been resolved.
Hurricane Skill (Bowmaster) should no longer DC anymore.
Add Rice Cake Hat in Growlie (Need 15 Rice Cakes to Change)
Ariant NPCs have now been added (except for Muahamad, small glitch which we are working on)
NOTE: All coupons need to be bought in Cash Shop meaning the Ariant NPCs for hair and face can only be used with a coupon from Cash Shop
Singapore Monster Drops Fixed
Fire Raccoon should now have drops
Apples/Narcs/Cauldrons removed from bosses

Will the game still work if you don't download the updated Map.wz file? Or is this a mandatory download?

Yeah, that hasn't happened.

 

Same process for mac users right Matt? Just plug the file in the Maplestory folder and we'll be good to go? Thanks for making this server mac compatible btw, means a lot to me as a mac user :')

My bad, when I downloaded the file 2 days ago I think it already contained the file, let me check to make sure though. (I have Malady on the FM map but no Halloween theme, no biggie though, just cosmetics)
