Hi Everyone, There will be a server check today 14th March 2016 at 14:00 Server Time (GMT), lasting for approximately 15 minutes. The game will be inaccessible during this time. Changes during this server check: Fixed an issue where aggro'd monsters would stop attacking after entering the cash shop. Fixed an issue where Horntail would stop attacking after using single target seduce. Revamped the checks for opening Merchants: Merchants should now have the correct minimum spacing between other merchants. Merchants should no longer be able to be opened on top of each other when trying to open at the same time as somebody else. When trying to open a Merchant while already having one open, it will now show a message stating the location of your open Merchant. Fixed an issue where items and mesos would get stuck on maps if they were looted by somebody outside of the screen range. The MapleRoyals Staff. The server experienced a random issue about 1 hour 30 minutes after this Server Check which resulted in there being an additional emergency server check at 15:45. The server is now up again. If you had a merchant in channels 4 and above from before the emergency server check, there is a chance that you may have lost some merchant items. Please open a thread in the Character Issues section if you were affected and we will investigate the issue.
I'm currently aware that this change has caused single target seduce to not choose the correct player on the map to be seduced. This will be fixed in the next Server Check. Yes, that is how it is supposed to work, so it should be the same in the new source.
After the next servercheck, will sed only target the first person to enter main body? From what I've been hearing, single target sed at main body can hit anyone, but I'm not sure if this is a bug that is intended to be fixed. Thank you in advance for your reply!
It's not random though. The first time it selects a target is detemined by the entrance order, since left hand is 5th then the left hand will seduce the 5th person that entered the main body map. However when you're slaying horntail and the 5th person goes to the other side (which is outside of left hand's range) it will select someone else, either the next person in line or random. To prevent random seduces from happening, everybody just simply needs to move to the right side. Now when everybody is outside left hands range, it will freeze, and once somebody goes over to the left side of the map, that person will become the left hand seduce target. (example) 8 people just killed prehead 2 Lets name the 1st person bob and the 5th person zynzer We enter the main body by this order bob/random/random/random/zynzer/random/random/random Right now I will be the seduce target once horntail has been summoned Once I move to the opposite of the map (which in our scenario is right), the left arm will stop targeting me as im out of it's range The left hand chooses a random target We all go to the right side to prevent the left hand to seduce a random The hand is frozen Bob goes to the left side first and he is now the left hand seduce target untill he goes to the other side If he does it for some reason then we all just repeat the resetting process to maintain him being the left hand seduce target (do the reverse for the right side) Horntail is still easy to beat, just that the new changes have removed the freezes and horntail now requires even more teamwork. IMO the changes are fine and they do not really require an update, but then again there's other bosses such as pap working differently due to these changes.
Just becuase it is still possible to kill ht pretty easy doesn't mean that the changes are fine... What you are mentioning is glitches, the changes isnt there to simply switch it up they are suposed to fix ht so that it works like it did back in the days on gms. Sed target shouldnt switch during the body or preheads. Left arm, head b should mass dispel aswell as right arm should curse everyone in in map not just target one person like it does now.
