Please post here with your feedback and/or issues in regards to the new server. Have there been any server disconnection issues? Has there been any noticeable change in lag? Any website issues? etc... Thanks.
I have a bit of lag, but that's because LA is so much farther than NYC. (To the UK) Like 0.3-0.6s delay.
Yeah, same. All Europeans will probably have this problem. Multiple servers as hosts in multiple locations would solve this, but probably isn't a cheap or easy option in terms of setting it up. Either way this higher latency isn't that big a deal, mostly because we have a TUBI client.
160-250ms. Old server was like 100-120ms. Okay 160ms-300ms is not too bad. Kind of similar to mine... My average is 185ms though... Code: Pinging royals.ms [162.218.94.38] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=183ms TTL=43 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=183ms TTL=43 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=183ms TTL=43 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=194ms TTL=43 Ping statistics for 162.218.94.38: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 183ms, Maximum = 194ms, Average = 185ms
Website is looking fine in Toronto with a 76ms. Ingame was a bit laggy yesterday, but there was roughly 80 players online. I am not sure if this was related to the server migration or the source has issues with stability.
I've noticed a significant reduction in overall lag and zero lag spikes. I am on the East coast of Australia though, so L.A is closer for me. I haven't had any disconnections either since the server migrated - previously I would probably D/C approximately once per 2-3 hour mapling session.
I'd say there's been a very slightly lag increase here (London, UK) but it's worth it not to have the episodes of major lag and mass-dc we were getting before the server migration.
I would like to announce that the server has literally stayed the exact distance from me and is perfectly fine. From, The middle of nowhere, Minnesota
The input delay is killing me (literally). It sometimes feels like it takes well over a second to register pots, skills etc. I'm located in Europe and this is borderline not playable for me.
My avg ping to the website is under 200ms, which is fine of course. But when I go in-game, and pot or use a skill it's at the very least in the 600ms range. There was a tiny bit of input lag before the server migration as well, but it was nothing like this. Since you asked for it: Pinging royals.ms [162.218.94.38] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=166ms TTL=48 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=166ms TTL=48 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=166ms TTL=48 Reply from 162.218.94.38: bytes=32 time=167ms TTL=48 Ping statistics for 162.218.94.38: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 166ms, Maximum = 167ms, Average = 166ms
Your ping is less than mine The website is hosted on the same server as the game so that is the exact ping you would have when playing the game. If the lag happens at certain times maybe we need to look at the scripts in action at those times to see if we can optimise them a bit. Could be to do with possible badly coded or unnecessary 'if' statements or other queries.
Im from Hawaii and I feel the lag has decreased, but not noticeably. If I had the choice, I would just say pick the host that costs less money
Yeah that's what I thought, the biggest problem is the potlag. I've seen other EU people complain about it as well, and as a ranger/bowmaster not being able to consistently pot means instant death.
not really noticing a difference, did a ping test, 115ms was average. game seems to be just as good as it was before.
One issue I had is Chief Tatamo and the HPQ bunny NPCs didn't let me click on them. I know that other people had the same problem with HPQ but I'm not sure about Chief Tatamo. The server is closer to me now though so no issues with lag or anything.
