So I played MapleRoyals before the wipe and in about a week when I started, someone got to level 200. Then a few weeks later, the server gets wiped and resets everything. Is it going to be like this every time someone gets to level 200 or was it just this one time?
It was a coincidence that you joined around the time someone reached level 200. Then again, it was fairly easy for some people to do yeah. The rates have gone down to 4x exp, the spawnrate was sat back to normal (it was 2x) and most importantly, the economy is stable again. People don't have as many OP items as they did before, or at all. Like I always say, this is a private server, so no guarantees. But by the looks of it, it seems like in the state the server is in, it could last a very long while. Without a wipe.
The possibility of a server wipe had been brewing for some time at that point, so don't worry, it wasn't because someone got to 200! The wipe happened because 1) it was too easy for people to level up fast, do all the endgame stuff that v.62 has to offer, and consequently get bored too soon and 2) it was too easy for a lot of people, particularly players from the early days, to be godly. Despite changes to gacha, we were still pretty much swimming in cheap PACs and BWGs by the time the server wipe occurred. Hopefully it should be a long time before another wipe happens, as the staff worked hard on trying to get the balance between fun and challenging.
Servers usually last longer, if they don't wipe. Hopefully this won't, and perhaps it will live forever... :')
