Well, this is a guide to get past Microsoft's semi defense in Windows 10. This should help those who have made the step from the old to the new and still have to ability to play their game with success. I suppose the first step is to find the Settings, because just by going into the Windows Defender program will not get us very far. Windows has made it just a smidge more secure, which is both good news and bad news. So, We hit the start menu button icon thingy, and go to settings. Spoiler From there, we then go to Update and Security. Spoiler Choose Windows Defender, Scroll down to Exclusions (Exceptions to the Rule), and click on Add an Exclusion Spoiler We want to Exclude the Whole Maple Story Folder. Here's the next step. Spoiler Go to C:/Program Files (x86) [or wherever you put your Maple Royals folder] and find you MapleRoyals Folder. Then click Exclude this Folder. Spoiler Afterwards, You should see the path of the folder and name. To make sure the game is not going to be triggered, go ahead and scroll down to processes, and click on the exclude a process (.exe, etc) Spoiler And within the Maple Royals Folder, Choose the EXE that runs the program, And voila! Exclude this file. Spoiler You should see the file in the Exclusions, hit the X in the corner, and load Maple Royals as per normal. Spoiler Last but not Least: Compatibility. The settings below work, Won't dc you in bosses, and is playable in windowed or full screen mode. Spoiler I hope this guide has helped those with the struggle to play. Thanks for reading.
