I believe that the following two suggestions would be great implementations to the server. 1. When you get a sale in your shop and are online, it tells you which item was sold and for how much. Optional or not, you could make it show who purchased the item. 2. When you log in, you get a notice saying what was purchased while offline, similarly to the above. Thank you for your time and consideration of these two suggestions.
Cute ideas, but even if they were implemented for some reason (although I don't think they're necessary) they'd have to be incredibly low on the list of priorities right now.
Necessary is a scary word, especially when speaking about suggestions. I'm sure half of the updates the staff are making are no where near necessary; they are helpful and make the game play more enjoyable. This is what I believe these two suggestions could do if implemented. Cute response though!
For 1, how/where what it would provide you with this information? Would you want a message sent in the chatbox to you like a whisper? Would you like a notice sent to you? I'm not quite sure how you would want that implemented. As for 2, I don't know for sure but I don't think that would be too crazy to do, but who knows?
While 2 isn't a bad idea I suppose, 1 can be very troublesome if implemented incorrectly: what if you sell an item while say, on a Zak run, or while BFing? All of a sudden this big notice comes up that you have to click to get rid of - boom, you're dead. So yeah, 1 would need to be in the chatbox if it were to be implemented, I suppose. Don't really see the need for it though - just go to FM and talk to Fredrick about withdrawing mesos - either you've made mesos or you haven't.
That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm thinking that if we implement anything, it would be 2 only. Just my thoughts of course, need to talk to the rest of the staff before anything is set in stone.
Sorry for not specifying! I definitely meant to give a notice perhaps in the style of the reddish brown text. Forgive me for not being able to reference the command, it has been a year or two since I've been a staff member. I believe it was !notice nv though. Suggestion 2 was more of an add on, 1 is more important!
I think these are good suggestions, but not sure how difficult they will be to be implemented into the game. Possibly you could code it to detect when mesos were sent to the shop keeper upon being sold (dunno? o.oa). I also agree on the fact that a coloured text would be sent within the game chat for this message. I disagree on the fact that the buyer's name would be disclosed to the player, as I think this should be kept confidential. Sorry to hijack your thread, but I think it would also be helpful to have a message to say that your shop has been closed due to any of the reasons that would be unspecified.
