I've always wondered why IGNs had to be atleast 4 characters long. I would really like an IGN that's only 2 characters long (). Could, or will, this be sorted out as a fix/feature. Or is this simply not possible due to some client restrictions. How about you? Would you take a shorter IGN?
I imagine that is because pet names presumably go through more or less the same validation as character names so as to avoid permutations of letters deemed offensive or less than appropriate by people in charge.
Something to do with the client, same how mesos and stuff max out at 2.1b, and HP/MP can't be maxed over like 33k (even though the royals cap is 30k) I remember back in eMS there was a point where if you did /find 123 (anything less than 4 letters) and you would DC or something.
It is possible to allow < 4 character ign's however you will be unable to whisper/find/basically do anything in regards to communicating with the characters. So we will not be allowing this as it causes many many problems.
