Seems like the server sometimes lags hard, and then other players and I get DC'd. Happens on any channel for me. Does the server need to be restarted? Shouldn't be this bad with ~400 people online.
Does it get fixed when they restart the server? It's happening pretty often. All the enemies will stop moving, can't pick up items or use skills for about a minute, then I get DC'd. Half the time, I can't log back in without using the login fix.
No, it once froze 8 minutes after the server came up. It just happens when there's a lot of people online, nothing that can be done until the new source comes out unfortunately
^THIS. is why I am waiting/wont play this server until this issue is resolved; this is my favorite server out of all the private servers and wish the ping was better =( But I do check back from time to time to see if anyone has said the lag/DC issues have been resolved.
this type of thread is pointless. everyone knows the server is lagging. we're all hoping that it will be fixed with the new source, so all we can do is wait for it.
To GoodDoodoo: "Everyone knows the server is lagging" is an intentional fallacy, and, to say something like this is pointless. The fact of the matter is that although everyone may or may-not know the server is lagging, most of us don't know -- WHY the server lags. I've asked around and the only suggested solutions given were to lower my graphics settings, try the login fix button, restart computer, restart internet, etc. If more people are discussing why such a wonderful server such as this one lags to the point of making the game unplayable, it will raise awareness and push priority of this issue to the top of the list -- saying this is pointless is like saying women, blacks, and LGBT people should not voice their concerns. Please don't shit on other peoples posts with "pointless" comments like yours. Respectfully, Tigerjk07
Actually Tiger, you should be more careful before making such brash (and outlandish) posts. The fact of the matter is, "everyone" knows WHY the server lags as well. If you had done a quick search on the forums or any topic related to lag, the source we use is frankly not good. This is why we are working on a completely new server source written from scratch which should make lags and disconnection a thing of the past no matter how many people we have online at once. More discussion will NOT raise awareness or change priority as the community as well as staff are already aware and getting the new source released is our top priority at this point. By constantly rehashing the same topic over and over, you are beating a dead horse and yes, it is pointless as GoodDoodoo pointed out.
Actually, if you did a little research before posting something like this, you would know, as the majority of us do, that a new source is being written to hopefully stop the lag and dc. So before you shit on my "pointless" post, you should go read the source updates (1 and 2) that were posted by karven and matt. Literally the first point of both posts mention lag and server stability. Respectfully, GoodDoodoo
Although I do not actively play, as the server will not let me from its lag, I do consider myself a part of the Maple Royals community and look forward to playing frequently once the connection gets better. As a member of this community, I feel that it isn't wrong to voice one's opinion and that being so critical to call someone's concern "pointless" is a bit "brash" in its own way when the harsh reply did not even include a link to the original thread that addresses this topic -- including a link that explains the issue would've been much more helpful -- in fact a solution -- than simply saying someone is being "pointless". Regarding my word-choice and logic of argument, it is a most humbling experience to be corrected in such a manner -- yet here I stand; I sincerely apologize for any rudeness on my part, and, I will search harder next time, and apply a better word-choice when writing/replying to future posts. -Tigerjk07
It's okay dude. Everyone is just tired of seeing posts about the same topics on the forum every 10 minutes. Yes, it actually is pointless to create threads about lag since nothing positive can even happen since we know what the issue is and we're working on fixing it. Also, please refrain from comparing Royals issues to real life issues, especially when you don't know what you're talking about
