Notice Staff Changes - April 2017

Hello MapleRoyals,

I'd like to bring forward and recognize the value of a number of our valued members of staff who are parting ways with MapleRoyals. First, I'd like to thank Katsuruka, one of our long-term Administrators, for all of of her hard work and service over the years. She has dedicated copious amounts of time and effort to making sure that MapleRoyals operates inside and out, and has earned the admiration of many as a result. She has been around in various capacities since 2013, and will truly be missed. Next, I'd like to thank Manny, Jeen, Stan, Aaron and Jennifer, who have been reliable Game Masters for us for years. Manny had been a Game Master since June 2014 and is most appreciated for his work as a translator for the Latin community, and similarly, Jennifer, who joined in May of 2015, helped us to better communicate and assist our Taiwanese player base. Jeen, who joined us in December 2015, and Stan, who joined in September 2015, have each contributed heavily on the forums and in-game respectively, and Aaron, who was with us only a short time, likewise assisted greatly in policing the game. Finally, I'd like to extend a thank you to Saleh, Kivin, Kite and Ray, all of whom went through the intern program to become a member of our staff, Saleh being the second to receive a full promotion with a keen eye for glitches and other methods of abuse, and Kivin, Kite and Ray who assisted us with in-game operations. This is a large change to our staff and one that saw us go through many difficult goodbyes, but we wish every one of them well and are indebted to them for their time and help. Thank you, all!

As you might imagine, with so many members of staff moving on, we are going to be looking closely at the Staff Applications board in the coming weeks. In particular, applicants who have experience and/or enjoy bug testing and troubleshooting will be looked at closely. Additionally, applicants who can speak multiple languages are also going to be more fitting to our current needs. Please do keep in mind that there is no perfect applicant who will be guaranteed a spot on our team. We hope to see many different applications and look forward to having your assistance!
