I came across this recently after a following up a confusing smega: They should not exist in this version of maple. Apparently mobs from ulu have been dropping statless variants. It may also explain this. This is quite important as: - v62 statless weapons are far inferior to these new ones (even the rare non-v62 pyrope weapons) - people have been scrolling/buying the new weapons, so the longer it's left the more people are going to be adversely affected over by the fix
Just to clarify, by statless he means no secondary stat requirement (STR in the case of bows) to equip the weapon. I remember an update a long way after big bang that removed all secondary stat requirements from all equips under level 140, or something like that, that enabled all classes to add one stat only. Anyways I suppose this is a mistake/bug and hope it will be rectified soon.
I have only been made aware of the Metus. I have been replacing them in people's inventories with the correct one and have changed the monster drops so it drops the right one. If there's any of these other issues, please let me know.
Apparently Berserkies drop Dark Arund and Dark Raven which might also be strless. I think it'll be good to check the drop tables of all the mobs in Ulu, especially the weapons, to see if they also have this problem.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Dark Arund and Dark Raven that drop are the correct ones. The only other ones in the game are one of a kind/untradeable. Let me know if I'm mistaken.
