    Hello all.

This is a step by step guide to fixing the most common issues related to maplestory clients,
what i will be adressing here is how to:

-Make the MapleRoyals client an exeption in Windows Firewall.
-Make the MapleRoyals client run as Administrator.
-Make the MapleRoyals client run in Compatibility settings.

NOTE: For the sake of convenience this is done in Windows 7, but for other Windows versions the process will be similar.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Windows Firewall:

    1) Let's start off on our Desktop, click the Start/Home button in the bottom left corner of your screen.

    2) Click Control Panel. (If it is not listed as shown on the picture below, you can also find it by typing it in the windows search bar.)

    3) Click System and Security.

    4) Click Windows Firewall.

    5) Click Allow a program of feature through Windows Firewall.

    6) If Mapleroyals is not already listed, click: Allow other program..
And then search for your MapleRoyals.exe in the map you have it installed in, select it and click OK.

    Administrator & compatibility Settings:

    1) Let's start off on our Desktop, RIGHT-click the MapleRoyals shortcut located there, and click Properties. (if you do not have a shortcut of the MapleRoyals client then you can do these exact steps with the regular .exe in your MapleRoyals installation folder.)

    2) Click Advanced. (Located under the tab: Shortcut)

    3) Select the box: Run as administrator, then click OK.

    4) Go to the tab: Compatibility

    5) Under Compatibility mode, Click: Run this program in compatibility mode for:
And then select either Windows 95, 98/ME, 2000, XP Service Pack 1, or XP Service Pack 2.

    6) Under Privilege Level, Click: Run the program as an administrator.

    7) Click Apply, and then OK.

    CONGRATULATIONS,

these simple but essential steps should help prevent alot of issues regarding your MapleRoyals client!

If you have any questions or remarks, please feel free to lay them on the table.

I wish you all a pleasant day, and i hope you continue to enjoy the game.

EDIT: I will be making a detailed guide on how to make MapleRoyals an exception in (the most-used) Antivirus programs.
