Am I allowed to use a program like Remotr to stream my PC screen so I can play on my android phone? Will I get banned?

    Thanks.

This would be great to reset summons while farming and taking a poop or cooking a meal. It's like bringing your computer with you, but on a phone/tablet--you can still see the game screen. It's super laggy even when just viewing your desktop/a web browser, but if all you have to do is cast and check on the screen every so often, you could easily prep food or whatever while you have it propped up somewhere.

With this said, no idea what the legality of it is (staff please help us hehe). I asked about teamviewer to reset my shop in the shout box a while back (don't recall getting a response/credible one), but totally forgot about the idea until now--is remotr any better than teamviewer in your opinion? Hopefully we can get a definitive answer because the convenience of it would be surreal.

Bump. Players are trying to avoid unintentionally breaking the rules, answer our questions instead of ignoring the thread please.

We saw a player was banned for simply using teamviewer to log in on his friends PC, and despite using a friends PC not being against the rules, he was told that what he did was prohibited without any reasonable explanation. We want to avoid issues like these, but we need to understand where the line is and what the rule regarding this actually says. HELP US. You guys are the only ones capable of answering as there is nothing in the rules about it.

Yes, I would say that this is fair game. There was a player who recently used their Nintendow Switch to play MapleRoyals, and they did not face any punishment for it. In addition, we have explicitly allowed the use of controllers in general as a way to play MapleRoyals--there are in-depth guides on how to set such programs up. Just keep in mind that you must bind your keys in a one-to-one manner, otherwise you will be considered to be using macro programs and you will be permanently banned. Also keep in mind that other standard rules apply as well--for example, I recall a case in which a player using their controller away from their screen was subsequently banned for robotic play as they failed to respond to a Staff member who was suspicious of their behavior.
