I think this is a better suggestion than this thread here:

    http://royals.ms/forum/threads/community-vote-on-a-new-gm-just-for-rewarps.33316/

Some of the features that this NPC specifically for re-warping back to the boss will include:
    1. Checking the player's name if they have registered for the boss. This means that random players cant join the boss if they didn't register. Of course, if the boss is already dead, even the player that registered prior to the time where the boss is still alive can't enter the map again, so no 3 Zakums in a day.
    2. Allowing re-warp only within 1 minute after the user has logged in after being disconnected from the boss fight. This is to minimize the exploit which the player can go back to town/FM to buy pots, etc.
    Thanks for reading.

Regarding number 1, wouldn't this mean that all bosses need a sign up system? Zakum and Horntail already have one, but many of the rewarp requests come from Krexel or even Bodyguard A.
Then for number 2, one minute isn't that long considering lag spikes often last a lot longer.

I definitely think there's a need for more GMs, but I don't think the admins would want to spend time on a system like this because it would take away time from working on the new source, which is supposed to fix the lag issues (crosses fingers). Honestly, a year ago I would have loved a suggestion like this, but with the new source in tow idk. I don't know anything about coding so idk how much effort it would take to implement, but if there continue to be d/c issues after the source I think an option like this should be seriously considered. Just my 2 cents.

    Hi Rob

For number 1, I don't really know how to deal with rewarps for bosses like Krexel and Bodyguard A... This suggestion is primarily aimed at Zak runs and HT runs, as usually, many people go to Zak and HT runs (about 12 or so people for HT, and around 6 for Zak).

For number 2, the one minute timer only starts after the user has logged in, not after being disconnected. (It starts after the user has logged after being disconnected :))

Yet people can abuse this at krexel since the party can just leave once its dead and rewarp back and volĂa the branch is back and ready to be slained again.

I would do a forum search and read what's been posted in the past as the idea of an NPC to do rewarps has been discussed several times before and I believe Matt even posted in one of the threads explaining why we will not be implementing such a system.

The reason the second part won't work is because what if someone dies and decides to logout? Then they have a chance to get back into zakum. Based off this, I'm assuming you would say that the system would track for deaths. What if someone lag dies (i.e their screen is black or the game is frozen but their character is still in game)?
