Hi guys!! Just a random thought where I'm in a really festive mood at the moment because of mid-autumn festival (yeaaaa all the Chinese people here would know about it.. aka moonkek festival) and this is probably my second favourite event on the Chinese calendar, with the first obviously being Chinese New Year. I just bought a whole lot of mooncakes and I'm so excited about it. Then it occurred to me that we don't actually have an event here for it and I was wondering if it is a possibility to incorporate some sort of event for players to celebrate the festival together. Maybe not this year but some time in the future. Let's not forget the beautiful story of Chang'e, a.k.a. the Moon Goddess of Immortality. It would be so beautiful to incorporate the story of Chang'e into the game. If we can make a NPC based on her, it might be worth trying to create quests where players hunt for tiny fruits and cakes to offer to Chang'e, like how her husband would do for her. This game already has so many elements that could fit into the theme of a mid-autumn festival celebration, where the festival also coincides with the end of the autumn harvest, marking the end of the Hungry Ghost festival which occurs during the 7th month of the Chinese calendar. We can always have quests to do with less-visited maps like Mushroom Shrine where the tiny ghosts are, and even Shanghai where we can find pretty lanterns! Imagine hunting mobs for little mooncakes to turn in to Chang'e for rewards! I think to make this possible, all that is really needed is just to make a new NPC and to create a questline. I do not have experience with doing this myself but I feel like it wouldn't be that big of a change to the coding of the game. Although I think that the game already has enough yearly events as it is, having additional events may keep players interested in the game, instead of coming back only for events then disappearing for months until the next big event.
It'd be really cool if we could incorporate the KFT region into a Mid-Autumn Festival event somehow, since it is quite literally the deaddest zone in the game
