I think that this may have been a past suggestion, but my search results did not return anything. For some people, IGNs are not a big thing and do not hold any value, but I know for certain that to me (and many others), a clever IGN or an IGN with sentimental value means a lot and helps me get going/motivated. It also happens that some of the IGNs I like best belong to those who are permanently banned. Although I don't know how it would be carried out, could there be a system where the IGNs of those who are permanently banned are "freed"? There are some rare cases where those who have been wrongly permanently banned have been exonerated/unbanned, so perhaps there should be a time frame (only 'free' the IGNs of those who have been perma banned for at least X number of months). Another suggestion I think I've read before is auctioning off the IGNs on the forums, but I don't quite agree with this method. I know that this may be a controversial topic (those who are friends with some of those who are perma-banned may not like this at all, and I understand), and so I am expecting both agreement and disagreement. Thoughts?
Here is a thread: http://royals.ms/forum/threads/banned-characters-names.9926/ and my thoughts on the matter have not changed.
I agree. I thought of this back when i was playing GMS. Always hoped they would somehow delete the characters or change their igns. What's the point in keeping them if they aren't allowed to play anyhow.. Also not sure how the "system" would work but it's a great idea! =) ** And then i read Matt's thread. Lol =]
