so i started up my axe hero again recently after not playing for a while and i noticed Crimsonwood PQ is right around the corner with its release could the Red Nirg drop a Redner 2h Axe with a fast (5) attack speed? it would really help axe users in general as it would be comparable in speed to a stonetooth and with no dex req but less powerful overall atk and damage-ratio wise. plus it looks really neat, drops from a boss and would be a simple change with a lot of benefits.
yes, its one of those axes that the red nirg dual-wields. in gms it used to sometimes drop one when killed, stat wise its identical to the lvl90 colonian axe but reskinned. i figured you guys could simply change the attack speed of the redner to fast (5) to make using axes at least somewhat competitive for heroes. its base atk is 97 which is the same as the colonian base, meaning a maxed godly one tops out at 107 wa clean. it would still be weaker than a maxed clean stonetooth and with the added damage penalty from the brandish slash-stab ratio. the only real thing it has over the stonetooth is no dex requirement, which is pretty significant but then again most players can easily stack 80+ dex from mediocre gear alone. i havent really compared it to the new flame sword but seeing as how a perfect one would be better than a perfect pyrope/red katana i dont think the redner at fast (5) would be able to compare damage wise. any feedback? i think it would be a good change to the weapon and a beneficial addition to the game.
I think this sounds like a great idea. I have never ever met an Axe Hero in game so buffing them a bit indirectly through equipment wouldn't hurt anyone I think.
@Baricos Thanks for this suggestion, and thanks to Staff for listening to the players in a case like this. Even though I will probably never make an Axe Hero (or a Sword hero, lol) I think it's pretty cool to see this axe in game.
Just to clarify to anyone reading; Redner was added to the bonus stage of CWKPQ, and has been edited to have +1 increased speed over the regular version.
As someone with a perfect black paintbrush...FML. But I still appreciate showing the axe hero some love.
