Not Bug Super low drop rate Soul contract etc

the soul contract for the hex beholder skillbook of drk will not drop even many attempts of changing channel to kill the thanatos. On the contrary, the etc for aura beholder (drop from gatekeeper) drops easily while cc-ing. By right the two etc should have same drop rates. i have spent 1-2 hrs hunting while another drk pal spent 4-5 hrs hunting the soul contract and we eventually gave up because we think that this quest is bugged. Pls look into this soul contract drop rate because it did not drop despite long hours of ccing and hunting. Thanks

 

Did you have the quest ”Contract of the Spirit” in progress whilst looking for the item?

 

Yes i took the quest already.
Update: my friend had hunted the soul contract etc from gatekeeper already instead of thanatos. I will try it later

 

I misread your original post. It should indeed drop from Gatekeepers, not Thanatos.

 

But the soul contract appeared to be dropped from thanatos according to the mapleroyals library, And also the dark knight skillbook guide. This is conflicting. Anyway, i have hunted it from the gatekeeper. Thanks.

 

Add on: i think the quest npc himself also asked us to hunt from thanatos, if im not mistaken

 

So to be clear, you did find it from Gatekeepers in the end? You’re right that the information is conflicting, but the NPC should tell you to hunt it from Gatekeepers, not Thanatos.
