Event Supreme Mage Challange Event!

Hello Everyone!

The Supreme Mage Challange Event will be starting today and it will end in 2 weeks at the 26.07.2013.

What you have to do to participate:

- Create a new mage character either Ice/Lightning or Fire/Poisen.
- The character needs to stay in the 2nd job and reach level 100 before the event ends.
- Every character created needs to add the letters "SMC" into the character's name.

Example: ChrisSMC

Leeching the character up is NOT allowed! Characters caught leeching will be excluded from the event! However using HS mules, PQing and grinding with other SMC characters is allowed.

I think the event should be pushed back at least another 24 hours due to the server downtime. Although the server is not ALWAYS down during my free time, it seems to be 9/10. I've lost nearly 3 days on this event, waiting for the server to come up. When it is up, I'm often busy. When I return, it's usually down.

I understand that it's not the staffs fault, I just ask that the event is pushed back 24 hours or more.

When exactly does this event end?

 

Is the event still on 26/7 or does it end midnight 25/7->26/7?

Edit: Is any type of leeching or partying with others allowed, and if yes what?

 

You will still have the whole friday for the event. It ends at midnight. (UK time)
Party questing is allowed with anyone and party grinding is only allowed with other SMC characters.

Now, what I see here is a great event. Would have definitely joined it and enjoyed it! But I have to voice my thoughts from they eyes of a new player, even if it makes me a douchebag.

The prizes were way too strong on many levels, all-encompassing. Way waaaay too good. And chaosable too which could make huge differences in the strength that people are able to gain. Very unlikely for the few masks that exists, but it happened.

Although I trust you're planning on balancing this out for newer players in the future, the prizes still bother me. One of my favorite servers suffered from this kind of items over half a year after introducing them. I were one of the players who got the huge advantage, but having them doesn't feel right even now. New, potentially top players, are demotivated because they simply cannot reach the same strength as the old players, since most of the players who have those exclusive items have none for sale any longer, and the ones they are using are either gone with the player or they will keep. And new ones are nowhere near in sight because the developers are inactive.

As an unscrollable item, maybe. Still quite all-encompassing, but strawberry icecream could be stronger. Though I do not know how people would have worked for getting them that way.

If you'd look at who did the event, you'd see that it was primarily the higher-leveled characters. There were a few new players who did it, but I don't think it "demotivated" any of the older players because we all had the chance to do it and most of us did. I was completely fine with the prize offered here and I haven't heard any complaints from any of the other old players.
