    Is it possible to change ownership for a thread? I'd like to be able to edit the original post for my guild thread so that I can keep it more organized (I have more time than the current OP). I hope I'm asking in the right place

    It looks to be possible with an addon, but I am yet to find any addons that are being actively maintained that get the job done. So right now, the answer is no but that may change down the road.
