After being gone for awhile, I've noticed a difference when people advertise their leech through smega. The addition of 'TC' has become a necessary mention for sellers, similar to mentioning 1 hit or mw20 and at times, haste. The difference between TC and the other abilities is that TC can be misleading while the rest are almost impossible to lie about. I've always always always been curious what the leech meta is like every once in awhile so I've asked around a few people, going to random channels when I'm free, pming people or simply asking my guild what are the kinds of exp rates they receive. After awhile, I believe telecasting really lost its meaning. Yea sure it's a technique done by pressing keys together but it also has to be executed correctly throughout the hour. The directions, rotations and spawn management are part of what makes telecasting effective. Telecasting is indeed rewarding but if done wrongly, you'll be hitting air often. I am really disappointed by so many leech sellers out there and also guilty for the fact that I might have caused this problem. It has been understood that petrifighter leech can give a buyer ~30mil exp/hour. This is similar to gaining 270%+/hour at petri for a level 105 assuming split. Recent findings from buyers who really get down to numbers told me that most of their sellers who claim TC gave roughly 28-29m exp/hour I did include questions such as 'what is your partner level', 'what is your level' and 'what is your seller's level' and most of them gave typical answers like lv115, lv115, lv160 respectively. Nothing crazy like Lv140, Lv110, Lv190. To those selling leech, when you claim to know what telecasting is, do it right. There's much more to it than just pressing 2 buttons together brainlessly for hours. In fact, some buyers told me that when they bought non-TC leech, they got better exp (by 1-2mil in petri alone). If you do claim to telecast, your buyers expect you to be fast and efficient. If you know you are bad at it or you don't want to do it even though you feel obligated to, please don't do it. Just play normally, it will be less straining on your fingers and also it will be less frequent that you hit air. I understand that as sellers and buyers, generically TC is faster than non-TC but I would not believ this to be always true, not even half the time. Buyers, if you are wanting to spend your mesos wisely, I suggest you record the numbers down and start comparing between different sellers to find who you are satisfied with. To sellers, I believe you should have a moral obligation to do things right. If you don't know whether you are doing bad or good, just simply ask your buyers how they think your service is. Ask them questions like 'what is your starting % and what is your ending %', 'how much exp have you received in the past 30minutes' or 'Any feedback'. They paid you to leech them, don't steal from them.
Most leech buyers don’t know the difference I know many leech sellers who know how to do it, but choose not too cause the buyer doesn’t know the difference, so they can’t even sell telecast leech for more than reg cast
I agree with @Cynn that most buyers (including myself) do not know the difference between telecast or w/o telecast; I feel like most of us wouldnt complain as long as the seller is trying their best to kill and we as buyers get decent exp. Also, I do agree with @Venin that sellers often feel obligated to do telecast but they dont know how to do if effectively hence the buyer gets poorer exp. For me, I know how to telecast (press tele+ulti at the same time) but I dont know how to do it effectively to cover the whole map but I still end up doing it because of competition of other sellers and what the buyer demand is. However, I usually just go back to regular cast because I feel uncomfortable with telecast (as mentioned above, I was hitting :"air" at times). Conclusion is that telecast has became a norm in mapleroyals and this goes to the same for hp washing or perfect gears or NL meta.
This thread sounds a little like 2pro4me... in a way. I mean, it's just leeching and sure there are better leechers out there but don't have to word it like "don't steal from them". Maybe write a guide on how to leech in the guide section would be a better way to educate them.
Thats why Ive only ever bought petri leech from 3 players since TC became a thing- you, attenuation, and extzy.
As a leech seller myself, I feel buyers are slowly becoming more aware tele-casting is just a meaningless title, it doesn't determine the quality of the leech they are getting. A month ago, 3/10 of players who replied my smega asked whether I can tele-cast, now is down just to 1/15. 90% of my buyers just wanna afk and trust their sellers to do their job. However, I do get pissed at buyers who request to buy leeching with telecasting at the lowest possible rate.
Telecasting is definately hands down a technique, and something that a player should be applaused for mastering it. Putting in the effort for better quality services. Its truly Something that differentiates a Regular and A Pro player. Leeching wise i agree as many post above, telecasting has already becomes a Norm in the current leeching meta. And i'll always look for the cheapest telecasting leech services, c'mon everyone will want the best things at the lowest price possible right? But thats where a good leecher gets famous, and be loved, getting regular purchases from buyers all around. And myself, really respects these players, who are willing to put in these extra effort. But other then leeching, As an Horntail Bishop, theres several techniques i've tested and found useful! Hoping to share it out to many others! Which is using telecast to manoeuvre around effectively. While killing the wyvern spawns, it allows u move over to the middle , gene and to quickly return to the original position ,not crossing middle when u recieve damage from the spawns. (Get Knock back, crossing mid, causing seduce) But this becomes really effective when seduce is up and horntail spawns the wyverns. While healing, with the minimal time frame, telecast over to middle to kill the dark wyvern spawns, and move back to the sed to continue healing. Telecasting overall is definately a technique, where players takes days to train and a week or even two to actually master it. Able to use it in different situation, be it Hitting air, or not missing a single skill while telecasting, its of course up to how much dedication and effort the specific player puts into the game.
