Hello, just hit 120 as BS, wanted to test out telecasting, wasted like 3 hrs, I couldn't telecast ONCE on my computer with cheapset 30$ Logitech keyboard. Became mad, went to bed, whatever. Then I've made some testing with my laptop, everything went smoothly, I could telecast like 8 per 10 tries - however, I can't play on it since it's outdated, graphic card is dying, it's shutting down after around 5 minutes of playing Maple. Then tried the same Logitech keyboard on the other desktop but still the same - it didn't work out. Then tried another 2 keyboards, cheapest 3$ keyboard and Tracer 15$ keyboard on both desktops - can't telecast on the first one but I can do it with ease on the second one. Soooo... I can't telecast on the first one with any setup. Where is the problem? What causes it? Is it desktop or OS? What can I do with the first desktop to make it work? Or at least what can I try to do? Telecasting was an unintended bug/thing with a recent change. It's since been patched. edit: you shouldn't be able to at all anymore.
I am still telecasting fine. There was a patch that disabled it but introduced other delays that made the community go berserk, hence another patch followed soon after, removing those delays and telecasting was brought back as a result as well. I'm currently using an archaic keyboard attached to my laptop (K119U biz-classic usb keyboard) and this surprisingly produces the best tele-casting result compared to any other expensive keyboards I have tried. From my experience, the keyboards that didn't work had sharp, narrow, short keys like the ones you see in modern internet cafe. I think tall, broad keys produce better result for they are easier to press/register at same time.
I personally think that'd be better for the game but then there would have been a community riot which we haven't witnessed yet haha
Tall keys didn't work for me, both keyboards that are working on a backup desktop have got thin buttons and the one that isn't working has got tall ones. Don't think this is the thing in my case. Still looking for any ideas that can help me solve the problem. Thanks for your reply tho.
I don't know... did you read the first post? I wrote there that I can telecast but when I'm plugging that keyboard to my main desktop it stops working. Thanks for replying tho, but I guess you didn't understand problem at all.
