Hi everyone! This is super random but I thought to myself, "I really enjoy all of my save spots!" I'd come up with over my 5 years playing my Bishop on MapleRoyals. These "Map Saves" have allowed me access to most of the content in the game, as quickly as possible, when needed for any given reason.

I've played Maplestory for a very long time, and over that time, I had some good ideas of maps I was looking to save. Nowadays, on MapleRoyals, I've accomplished getting the Quest Virtuoso Medal (complete 1,000 quests in total), as well as the Legendary Collector Medal (Collect 400 Monster Card Sets), which completes a massive majority of the content in MapleRoyals, all on my Bishop! With that, I was able to polish my decisions on which maps, I felt, would be best to save in order to allow for ease of access across the entire Maple World! There may be more efficient methods I didn't think of... but I'm guilty of (I do not keep track, thank god) spending billions in order to impatiently get to where I want to be, as quickly as I can.

    Progress update: 09/09/2023
    - 475/494 Monster card sets completed
    - 1 Quests left to complete
    - Missing Ultimate Adventurer Title (need to kill Von Leon still)

    To note:
    - *There is a lot of opinion in my selections, of which many may disagree. So I tried to simply, without overexplaining, lay out my reasoning for my choices
    - I always, always, carry a (14-day) Fast Travel Ticket in my inventory, so that I never have to worry about transport, especially if it's nearby
    - I'm assuming you're either carrying Return to Town Scrolls at all times or using Mystic Door on a Priest / Bishop

Feel free to share your own map suggestions for people to save, and your reasoning as to why!

    VIP Teleport Rock Locations

    1) Dangerous Croko 1 - This is inside Kerning Swamp (the area boss, Dyle, spawns here). You could choose really any map in Victoria Island, however, I prefer having quick access to the NPC Irene in Kerning City to travel to CBD. There's also the Kerning City Subway which takes you to New Leaf City.

    2) The Passage
    - The map you jump off the cliff, on the way to Zakum. Right before the Cave of Trials, in El Nath. Looking to travel down the mountain? Change channels from this map and you will spawn outside of the cave. (NO CLIMBING, WOO!!)
Fun Bonus Tip: Have you ever reached the entrance of Zakum, just to see the channel is already occupied?! Enter the first stage of the Zakum Prequests (by speaking to Adobis). From here, you can log out, relog in, select a new channel, and you will spawn in the exit room from the 1st trial. Speaking to Adobis from this room will teleport you directly back into the entrance of Zakum, without being sent back to The Passage. 0:)

    3) Royal Catthus Desert
    - The area boss, Deo (respect your elders!), spawns in this map, within Ariant. Any Ariant map could work. In town, you can go thru the 2nd to the last portal, on the right [->], and speak to the Camel Cab to instantly travel to Magatia. If you enter the far right portal in Ariant 2x, you can speak with Karcasa to quick travel to Victoria Island!

    *4) Eos Tower 56th Floor
-This is the left [<-] tower in Ludibrium. If you jump down 1-floor level and return to town, it takes you to Omega Sector (mind explosion!). If you return to town from the 56th floor, you will arrive at Ludibrium.

    5) Peak of the Big Nest
    - This is the map right before the entrance...to the Entrance of Horntail in Leafre. I made myself choose between having a TP to Skeles / Horntail, or to Temple of Time. I chose Skeles / Horntail. But you can reach Temple of Time quickly by going to the airport location (Top right [->] portal in Leafre), and speaking to the Old Guy, floating really high up in the air for no apparent reason, in order to fly as a dragon to Temple of Time... I don't know if it's quicker, but I hold down the jump button in order to fly faster across the maps, and then hold the down arrow key at the end (which takes a second...) to enter the portal into ToT.

    6) Goblin Forest 2 - This is a map in Mu Lung (King Sage Cat spawns here). In town, you can speak with Hak (the bird) on the right (or second) map of Mu Lung, for quick transport to Herb Town.

    7) Top of Black Mountain - This is the furthest map to the right [->] of Korean Folk Town, where you can enter to fight the 3 goblins. In town, you can access the water well in order to quickly enter Aqua Road.

    8) Stairway to the Sky II - This is the map the area boss, Eliza, spawns in. This map gives you access to
Orbis. Any map could work that you would like to save.

    9) Ulu Estate II (CBD) - Up to each individual person here. I always disliked walking to Ulu, so I decided to save a teleport location for it. In town, you can speak to Audrey (The Malaysia Tour Guide) in the top left corner of the map, in order to travel to Boat Quay Town immediately. An Ulu teleport might be something to consider placing as one of your REG Teleport Rock locations, which you could use from CBD.

    10) Rocky Mountain Cave (Ellin Forest) / Road to Oblivion 5 (Temple of Time) - I personally would choose Rocky Mountain Cave (map to enter the Boar boss - figured it's quicker to drop to Ephenia boss vs. climbing to Boar) as the teleport option prior to Pink Bean release. However, after Pink Bean release, Road to Oblivion 5 will be a decent contender (that I will probably choose myself). The option of teleporting to Ludibrium, and walking to Ellin Forest, seemed like too short of a journey, to me, to completely require a TP slot for VIP.

Important reminder: * You can build off of these map teleports I provided, into your REG Teleport Rocks, in order to access the even smaller locations that you dislike traveling to, within continents. It can get a bit pricey at times, but hey, I'm on a private server that has the feature. I'm gonna use it!

I really hope this can be of some use to veteran and new players alike. Thank you so much for taking the time to read <3

    Warm Regards,
    Travis ~

You can climb to boar map from Ephinea really quick if you change channels (or go to lounge/cash shop) every map since it always drops you to the left/top of the map.

Thank you so much for this guide!
I swapped peak for tot 5 and the passage for tower 3 of lkc. I did that even before VL release, but on my attackers I should almost always have door anyway.
I def will keep it on my bish for vip though.

For my reg I will put: the passage, shaolin, and quay town. Looking for two more suggestions if you got 'em.

Would you mind speaking generally to when you would use VIP if you always carry around fast travel anyway? If my fast travel expired and I didnt want to reup it that day are there are few of these that are must hit priorities?

    Hi there!

My apologies for the late response to this. I would say in a situation where your fast travel ticket expires, and you don't want to reup that day... (honest answer first) still reup bare minimum on a 1-day fast travel ticket for 2m compared to using a VIP rock (3m) to travel (I'd assume you're low on mesos / on a budget). As for WHEN I use a VIP rock instead of a fast travel coupon, would be in instances when I'm in aqua road, and I'm looking to get to Victoria Island.

Now as my guide also hints towards, places like Dangerous Croko (to me) is considered an essential. It gets me back to Victoria Island, and I can immediately go to town, and use my fast travel ticket to go to any of the following places immediately: Mushroom Shrine (any tour location), CBD, and New Leaf City. However your gameplay and the maps you frequent, may end up being different than mine, hence why "essential" maps are somewhat subjective. For example, if I run Krex (I'm a bishop main) and I'm in El Nath, I will proceed to teleport to Dangerous Croko > Go to CBD from Kerning > REG TP rock to Runes of Krexel 1, so that I can quickly door my party there.

As for some recommendations for REG teleports, here are what I personally use:

    1) Courtyard (Entrance to CWKPQ) - Can use from NLC
    2) Rocky Mountain Cave - Can use from Ellin Forest - Since the creation of this guide, I personally use this map as a REG TP, over a VIP. Can update my guide later.
    3) Runes of Krexel I (Entrance to Krex) - Can use from CBD
    4) 5th Tower (Entrance to Von Leon) - Can use from El Nath or The Passage
    5) Shaolin Temple Floor 7 (Entrance to Shao) - Can use from Lushan Town

    Hopefully this helps you some!

Minor updates to the guide due to Audrey adding Boat Quay Town as a destination location from CBD. :)
