I would like to share my opinion about your staff and the way you manage the server.
You guys are like robots, without any sense of judgement.
Running the server using an excessive regime, denying people from even talking freely.
Everyone of the players has to think twice and well before saying anything, unless he intends on getting banned.
Of course im talking from my own bad experience, i got banned for asking someone as a joke if he wants to trade accounts (he was clearly stronger)....
So i got banned for 30 days.
This post is not about asking to remove the ban anymore, because i wont be playing in your server anyway after that disgrace.
Just wanted to share my thoughts with you, and i hope as many people as possible read this post, so they wouldnt get banned as i got.

Most places in the world have a form of 'freedom of speech' which protects you from the government, not other people, corporations, etc. You are free to speak your mind, you are not free from the consequences of said speech however.

It's really, really, not hard to not joke about trading accounts.

Edit: Also, Muff is a muffin, so that's at least one non-robot. I'm pretty sure I'm not a robot either. Jury is out on Shane tho, being a "twin" that might just be secret robot lingo for "two units made it into the field at the same time".

 

No other comments expected from the suckers who spend their real money on a private maplestory server.

 

Everyone knows for a fact that the way this server is handled isn't the best but we all choose to shut up, you're opinion, sadly, wont do much except wasting your time writing it.

 

Your post would mean a lot more if you weren't breaking rules yourself- the people who colour within the lines seem to be perfectly happy with how everything is done here lol.

 

I've played here for 7 years and I've never been rightfully banned...

I've also only donated a grand total of like 50 USD? For literal hundreds of hours of play on multiple characters.

I've certainly seen a few...questionably strict bans in my time reading ban appeals while I'm pooping, but staff has relaxed a bit and a lot of what would have been perms have become 30 days. If you'd seen the RWT issues that have been faced, overcome, and are still being fought, it might make more sense.

Now, I feel the frustration and it sucks being banned for a joke but try to think like a staff member for a moment and ask yourself some questions about what happened. What if they let these type of jokes slide? How will they ever be assured it was a joke and not actual rule-breaking? Don't you think that'll be that one excuse you'll see the most of on the ban appeal section? "I didn't mean it, was jk lol". They likely know you meant no harm but dealing with the ones that do harm the server can get tricky if they shield themselves using that excuse. It could take hours upon hours of gathering evidence and even then... it all boils down to a subjective debate 'I know I'm right', 'No, you're wrong. I'm right because I know so'. Think if you would put yourself through that sort of debates... every day. I agree its an unfair ban but I also acknowledge it was a necessary one.

You should feel lucky because you are only banned for 30 days. Rwt joke could result in permanent ban

 

Recently in my country. There was a guy joking that he is going to rape children in school, and then he got arrested by police.

You gotta watch out what you were saying either on internet or real life, free speech doesn't mean you are allow to say whatever you want to.

You are also a talented comedian!

Don't flatter yourself, This is the most funded server running the old maplestory version, thats the reason for most of the people playing it,
definately not due to your way of "running things".


I only wish i could meet you in real life, in order to express my words better.

 

To all the supporters of the moderator, imagine yourself in a pq, seeing someone who is clearly much stronger than you are.
And you go saying: "wow you are so strong, wanna trade accounts ?" and obviously not really intending on doing it, cuz no one who's
so much stronger and richer than you would agree to.
My point here, is trying to show that every intellegent guy would easily realize that this is a freaking joke!

 

I can tell someone I intend to murder someone. Unless I make it very clear im joking, I could go to jail just for saying that. There's no difference here. You asked if he wanted to trade accounts. Saying you intend to break the rules can have consequences, even if you are joking. In real life it's easier to know if you're joking or not. Online though, it's easy to be serious and make the claim that you were just joking when you get caught. We can't know for sure if you were really serious about it or not and only use "joking" as an excuse. You agreed to the rules when you signed up to play, so you shouldn't have any issues obeying them. If you do have problems, don't agree to them and go to a different server. Simple as that.

So its likely they will have to spent their time to investigate every single joke and ban them with solid evidence, I understand.

Btw we can't tell everything either real or fake behind a monitor, so stop acting like you can read peoples mind.

So imagine yourself level 10 begginer, asking a 3 years player level 200, if he wants to trade accounts with you.
Does he deserve to get banned?
