Hello everyone,After a time out of mapleroyals for personal issues i decided back to play.

this time i want to be a Hero, now I would like which is the best option for a higher damage (1h sword + maple shield) or 2h sword (StoneTooth or Dragon Claymore)

I would like players with enough experience to help me with this.

¿which chosen you? and ¿why that?

    -thaks.

As far as I know, @Kreupel did some testing with the difference between a sparta & shield, and a stonetooth- stonetooth won over sparta & shield with attack pots, but sparta & shield increased clean. So to make the best use of attack potions such as apples, heartstoppers etc, stonetooth would be the better option. I'm sure he can tell you more about it- I've never played a warrior class!

IMO Claymore works best with BFing due to it's invincibility frames. Sparta + Shield works best for Zak, other bosses, and for training (e.g. at Skeles) in general! I personally have a Claymore and Sparta+shield.

I've heard that sparta/dragon carabella works fine with BF without sword booster as well. But it all depends on the WA of your 1H, 2H sword and shield!

Without going into much detail on the formulas, I'll try to explain it as easy as possible.
    First things first;
    Claymore VS Stonetooth.
Claymore having higher base attack, no dex requirement but lower attack speed. (fast 4 with booster, where as ST has faster 3 with booster)
Claymore maxes at 78 attacks per minute where as ST maxes at 87 attacks per minute.
When calcing it with the dmg formula it shows ST beats claymore due to the higher attack speed while dealing lower max dmg. (conclusion ST>claymore)
There's 1 exception which is bigfoot due to his invisible frames. Where the attack speed for claymore is perfect and always hits, where as ST would often miss and lower your kill speed. (Claymore>ST for bigfoot)

    1h+attack shield VS ST:
1h attack swords have no dex requirement and can use a shield with it, which can be scrolled with weapon attack. Both have the same attack speed which is faster 3 on booster. Only drawback is the lower damage multiplier. Which is 4 for a 1h sword and 4.6 for a 2h sword.
This is where the difference kicks in.
Due to 1h having no dex requirement you can maximize your str and leave your dex at 4 when you're well funded which grants greated dmg output. However, due to the ST having a higher dmg multiplier, it will outclass a 1h sword + att shield at a certain point.
Due to the multiplier being greater for 2h they gain more benefit from attack potions than 1h swords.
Even with the dex requirement on a ST, the ST would outclass a 1h sword + attack shield on high attack potions like heartstoppers and onyx apples.

When I calced my dmg for my own hero(using my equips and stats), my dmg per min (without skills) was around 596k for ST (145 att 21 str) VS 639k (142 att 21 str sparta + 30 att 20str shield) So sparta being the better weapon.
However, on onyx apple my output was; 1006k for 145/21 ST, 987k with 140/21 ST and 969k for 1h sword + shield and 145/21 claymore little over 900k. In combination with skills such as brandish, adv combo attack it all adds up and the difference increases more.

This is all for high end players however, with perfect weapons and godly equips.
Conclusion: ST > sparta > claymore EXCEPT for bigfoot, where a claymore is the best weapon.

You could say the difference between a 1h and 2h is not that big and it all depends on personal preference and which attack pot you use.

When I started my hero, personaly I picked the ST because it's the best all round weapon. I only have to scroll a weapon instead of a weapon + shield. It also works pretty well on BF. So you actually only need 1 weapon and you're good to go. (this was before knowing all these calculations above)

Sorry for the wall of text :)
