    As many of you have already realised, we removed the Character Fix button from the website during the Server Check on 25th October. The reason for doing so is that sadly, people were abusing it to dupe items. I'm sure you can understand that this left us with no choice but to remove it.

    There are ways in which you can either attempt to avoid getting the "account already logged in error" or fix it yourself:
    • If the game DCs you to the login screen, please log right out of the game before attempting to get back online. It doesn't always work, but in my experience, you're less likely to get the error if you close the game completely after DC-ing rather than attempt to get back in from the login screen. To put things more simply: hit that "Quit" button!
    • If you're getting the "account already logged in or server under inspection" message, shutting the game and logging in from a different account (your OWN account, not someone else's!) can unstick your account. Please note that to do this, you need to log in from the same computer. If your stuck account was logged in with VMWare, then you should also use VMWare to log your other account in.
    • Wait for about 30 seconds before attemping to log back in if you get the "already logged in" error
    • Make sure when trying to login that you haven't already got that account open on another computer or in VMWare/Sandboxie!
    • Don't spam-click NPCs. If the NPC doesn't respond immediately when you click it, wait for 10 seconds before trying again. If it still doesn't respond, wait for about 30 seconds as it's likely the server is lagging.
    • Don't spam the login button or make repeated attempts to login in quick succession. Be patient and you're less likely to get stuck.

    If none of the above work for you, please make a Character Issues thread and an Admin will disconnect you as soon as they are able to. It would be helpful if you could also give us feedback on this thread so we understand why the issue occurs:

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused, but I'm sure you'll understand that it was necessary to remove the Character Fix button.

    Important Note:
    When making a character issues thread, please don't just say "Can't login". This causes confusion with other reasons for being unable to login, such as being MAC-banned, having a bugged pet or being stuck on a bugged map.

    If you can't login because you're getting the "Account already logged in" error, please state "Account already logged in" clearly when telling us about the problem. Thanks!

    That's so weird... LOL. I'm not sure why that's happening...
    I would, but the local business is too expensive! I can't afford to stay afloat if I get my images from there. Cheap suppliers from China are my only option!

    Edit: I've switched suppliers - check if my original post is working now? (lolol, I can't tell - was always fine for me)

    On a serious note, since Admins are required to unstick an account, can I recommend GMs also link back to Kat's recommendations on how to try and fix this yourself when they change the thread to "Awaiting Admin Action"
    Right now the GMs seem to be assuming that they've tried already, but we all know that noone actually reads anything on these forums, so reminding them again will probably help both sides get work done faster.

    On the contrary, I've been refering people to this thread all night long. I either posted it in the shoutbox for them to check, or I asked them in the thread if they already checked the 2 possible fixes in this thread.

    Ah cool. I wasn't sure if they knew about it or not. Just saw multiple threads where you told them it might be a while. That's what I get for trying to tell you how to do your job :p

    • I've added extra information to both methods that you can use to prevent/fix the problem yourself. Hopefully this makes things a little clearer.
    • I've removed the bit about GMs being able to unstick your character ingame - for now, an admin will need to disconnect your character via the database, so please be patient.
    • I've added an important note about making a character issues thread if you can't login. Remember, if you don't specify clearly what your login problems are, it will take us longer to find out what your problem is and fix it!
