I hosted a zakum party, there was this level 13x Bowmaster (im not going to mention his name because i do not want to tarnish his reputation and the future of his MapleRoyal's Journey), i decided to party him as our SE because i believe that if no one helps the weak, there will be no strong ones. Cut it short now, He disconnected at FULL HP of Body 3 Zakum, our 2 NLs couldnt provide the maximum damage to zakum so we grinded it out , it was fast regardless, because they were really strong! Little Baby Bowmaster starts crying and stomping his feet about not getting the splits. AND THREATENED TO POST ON FORUMS TO GET ME/US BANNED. Baby Bowmaster : im telling you, give me the splits or i will post this on forums. This is a bannable offence! Choose wisely. Me : You can post all you want. nothing will happen. At the end, i made a decision i believe i regretted, i gave him the split because my team told me to just forget about it not a big deal since hes all uptight,whining and moaning. end of story. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SO NOW! i want to hear from you guys! how should the split be like? Usually, dcers and people who died don't get split. You can give them some split based on sympathy tho
It is universally understood that you need to survive until the end of the zak run to earn the splits. You can give them some pity split if you want though. To go to such lengths to even threaten you, he must've been pretty desperate for mesos.
I wouldn't consider splitting someone who sounds that annoying. If you want to avoid any of this in the future just say "No splits if you DC" before you start so that there's no room for negotiation. Honestly though I'd just forget going with randoms and strictly go with friends so that you save yourself from any of this trouble in the first place. Treat your friends well and they should do the same for you.
what a lucky guy for getting a split, would have probably ignore listed him, its understandable dcing at zak, but you definatly dont get splits

Tbh I don't even give splits to people who survive the whole run most people who die/dc don't get splits, especially if it's not even into 3rd body which is pretty much the whole annoying part of Zakum at all. I probably wouldn't have given splits unless it was a good friend. By the way - good on you for not posting the person's IGN. Here's to avoiding hurting someone more than necessary.
Welp, time to change my view on things, I've always given splits as long as they made it to 3rd body.
If my thought process on it matters to you, or any other reader for that matter; arms are pretty much for experience, they're easy enough and give about half of Zakum's total exp gain or something. First body isn't really hard or stressful at all, slow skill usage and only 66m HP means that it rarely takes very long. Second body things start to heat up, but it's nowhere close to how bad third body is, even after the ridiculous cancel spam that it currently does is fixed. Third body often is half of the total length of the fight and by far the largest part of what is even remotely annoying at all. I think if you miss that, you've pretty much missed the whole part I even care that you're there for.
It makes sense to me. Especially since new source happened. I just haven't run random zaks with anyone since new source either. Hah. But if I were to ever, they better make it to the finish now ;P
TBH, I Dc all the time during B3 . But It will depends on the organiser if he decided to share then I will take it. If he’s not sharing then I am happy to accept the fact that is my fault. But as u mentioned, he is a new player, if share him a few hundred M won’t cause your life, just give it to him mate.
