Why those scary characters from movies are real 6 years ago, I watched one of only two movies that made it hard to sleep at night. I had already seen The Omen, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, Jeepers Creepers, and a lot more. I watched Silent Hill, and it kept me awake straight through 2 school days. In case some of you have never see this movie, there is a famous character called Pyramid Head that resides deep inside a sort of hell, accessible through the basement of a school, in an abandoned town that was run out by an underground “coal fire”. Well, here is why this will make sense- I saw him, god knows how long ago, in a nightmare that was basically a tour of Silent Hill. I was in 1st grade, it was 1998, and I’m 100% positive about that. Silent Hill was released in 2006. Last night I watched Insidious. It was actually a GREAT movie, by the way. But in this movie, I 100% recognized the fiery, bloody figure that is supposedly haunting the little boy in a coma. The same face, the same hands, and I even remember him doing the same thing in the movie- hanging from the ceiling above my bed. This might seem a bit loony, probably hard to believe, but here’s where it gets even more realistic. In 2008, I discovered that my high school best friend had the exact same nightmare, and he also had it before the movie came out. Together, we took surveys of about a hundred or so students from our high school, and to our surprise, to be honest, we found 2 more hits. 2! Out of only 100. Give or take a few days, me, my best friend, and those two other ended up organized at the local Starbucks, to do quite a few things: we wrote very detailed descriptions of our nightmares, what sense we could possibly make out of the whole thing (why it happened, why it was such a common nightmare), and we wrote up every single nightmare that we have had. Comparisons between all of our nightmares brought even more disturbing knowledge- we had even more common nightmares. A few times, we even meditated together to attempt to remember as much as we could from them. We continued our meetings throughout high school, and one day graduated of course. Our findings never hit the internet, and we just let the whole thing go as we drifted in to our different career paths. Honestly I was under the impression that the whole thing was a bunch of crap. I believe my best friend did too. All of our nightmares just went right back in to the dark. So I guess that explains it all. And certainly don’t expect you to believe it, or anyone. But, someone will, because someone will relate, and I can guarantee that there will be A LOT if I spread this wide enough over the internet. So, I’ll start here. Maybe soon I’ll have a nice website to collect it all together if I find enough popularity in this…situation, I guess. It creeps me out. Thanks for reading, if you actually did
Children's vulnerability to see spirits or the unknown is amazing. As a child, I had plenty of instances where I thought I saw something. Who knows? Maybe our invisible friends were really spirits. As we grow up, we stop focusing on them and tune them out. Evil spirits and demons like to prey on vulnerability. What you experienced is nothing out of the normal. You have at least one believer here.
