I really liked this quote from "Ekko" It's not how much time you have, it's how you use it. let me know if you have any favorite quotes from anything
"Laughter is America's most important export." - Walt Disney I used that as my yearbook quote. I've got more I'll dig up and post here at some point, but that's one I always keep in my head.
“If you always tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” - Mark Twain "That is all well said, but now we must cultivate our garden."- A character by Voltaire.
"Just close you eyes, and dream of things to come. In dreams, we make tomorrow" "If you can dream it, you can do it." "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." "All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you." "I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter." I think this one describes me at times "We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone." "Remember the hours after September 11th when we came together as one to answer the attack against our homeland. We drew strength when our firefighters ran upstairs and risked their lives so that others might live; when rescuers rushed into smoke and fire at the Pentagon; when the men and women of Flight 93 sacrificed themselves to save our nation’s Capitol; when flags were hanging from front porches all across America, and strangers became friends. It was the worst day we have ever seen, but it brought out the best in all of us." This one may not be relevant to this thread and I apologize. This quote, however, does sum up how I feel about 9/11. While it was a tragic day, I do in some ways, miss the days after the attack when I would see everyone looking out for each other, EVERYONE, no matter where in the world you were, was an American and expressed their sympathies to the Americans they came across, and those in the US proudly displayed their patriotism. It bothers me to see this lack of patriotism now and how quickly we forget how united we were after the tragedies of 9/11.
time tells no lies "People waste a lot of time. Then they wish for more. Want more hours in their days, more days in their years, more years in their lives. As if they had all that extra time, they could fix any mistake. I don't need hours or days or years, I only need seconds. - Here's the thing about time; if you can't make the most out of any given moment, then you don't deserve a single extra second." -Ekko
I like "my father gave me a small loan of one million dollars" better... My fav is probably "time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time". "Praying is not the solution, it's the problem" comes right after
