This is not the thread itself where I create a forum event, this is not a suggestion, this is me asking for some input because I wanted to make a neat little forum event, so I thought this is the appropriate section to post. Would be willing to make more events in the future depending on some people's opinions/input. So what I was thinking of was creating a thread called name the Maplestory BGM (background music). How it would work is I would create a video on YouTube and put maplestory BGMs in the video and make you guess which ones I put in the video. The people would have to name the exact BGMs I used, for example spelling counts, and capitalization counts and you can't give me like "henesys" for all henesys BGMs but rather "Henesys - Field". What I was torn between though was 3 things. 1. Fairness from someone winning everything. Would you guys be interested in me creating multiple rounds, like round 1. Create a video with 10 BGMs and make then easyish and first 25 people get to round 2. Round 2 is medium BGMs and 10 people make it, and from those 10 I could do one last one that is hard and do top 3 get prizes. OR!!! Do 1 video with a bunch of BGMs and them being mixed and top 3 from there. Let me know your opinion!! 2. Prizing. Everyone wants mesos and I don't feel like shelling out billions on 1 event. I was thinking of doing either top 3 share prize, or 1st 2nd and 3rd place get prizes depending on place depends on prize amount. I was thinking of prize being like 1 billion mesos or something like that. Or the 3rd option. 1 person gets everything. 3. For the videos themselves that have BGMs do you want the full BGM to be posted with a timeline that you can navigate between each BGM or do you want short clips of each BGM so you don't have to skip around. How I would format this is I would choose a date and time and post a thread with the video in it at that exact time. Would make the video ahead of time and make it unlisted so people can't cheat, and first people to post the correct BGM names would win from there, whether it be from rounds or whatever. I personally think that: One mixed round is probably enough and it will probably be quite difficult to coordinate more on the forums. I feel that top 3 should get prizes based on placing as there will likely be discrepancy between their scores. A video with all the BGMs with timestamps for each one would be the easiest to navigate imo.
