to ski or not to ski?

After reading multiple guides and asking around the maple world, I realized the mainstream opinion is that ski is definitely the best end game spear for bossing. But is that really the case?
Obviously with the same attack ski would be the much better choice, but it shouldn't be the case since pinakas are way more common and higher lvl.
For example, I estimate a 120 att ski would cost the same as a 133 att or so pinaka. So the question to dicuss is this:
For the same amount of mesos, which weapon will do better bossing dps?

 

Take ski because no one will take you to bosses otherwise.

Well that's not much of a reason but true nevertheless. Maple is somewhat like real world with this kind of stuff. People pay more for the "brand".

 

It's because of the speed of the Spears.
Ski has normal attack speed and all above are slow.
I think dps wise ski should be better on bosses

i would say if u are having a high wa (132+) pinaka/faltizan, hold on to it until u find a good 124+ ski. and that would come with a high price tag (125wa = 4b)

 

thanks that was very helpful! As I suspected, unless you apple and have some sort of gear, dragon is a better choice for the same price or even cheaper.
