When i connect to the game and get past the character selection menu into the game i get a minute or so of me moving around the game while the monsters are just stuck in place and cannot be attacked or killed and then i dc with the message - "Unable to connect to game server" Please Help! I have already 3 Characters lvl 1,11 and 3 i downloaded the game today and i use windows.
Are you using hamachi or any loopback adapter perhaps? those should be disabled for royals. Or maybe your virus scanner is blocking access.
I don't use Hamachi or any loopback adapter. I've just tried with my virus scanner disabled to no success
It do sound like some antivirus program or your firewall is causing this trouble. What antivirus are you using? Disable and remove Microsoft security essentials
My anti virus is AVG AntiVirus Free I've disabled both my Anti virus and my firewall... still nothing.
Well i was able to play around 15-20 minutes before that. Interestingly this happened on another pre-big bang private server, which is one of the reasons i moved. and uninstalling AVG failed. are you sure its something to do with antiVirus? I don't think thats it.
Usually others with the same problem had some antivirus programs or a firewall causing the issue. * Maybe your modem has a firewall. * Can you try play from another computer using your internet? * Or try use your PC and connect to a different network like your phone. As he said above if you can play from your phone acces point then its a network issue. Try to unplug router and modem for 30 secs and restart them. If the steps from Egonics are not helping with your issue you can do windows key and search for "cmd". Make sure you right click and run as admin (since we dont know if your user is admin). Type > ipconfig /release > ipconfig /renew If you disconnect again try: >netsh winsock reset all And reboot your pc. Also when your done looking into this make sure you get your anti virus working again.
Thank you everyone for your efforts but its seems they were to no avail... i might log in tomorrow or next week because oddly it worked on the previous server
I notice that when i create a new character i can play on it for like 20 minutes and then i get DCed on it too
