I created a new beginner, and after entering Amherst, I've been unable to exit the town. The portals into the shops and the house still work, but the two portals on the far sides on the town don't work for me. I've asked other players I met in town and they were able to exit.
are your files up to date? there was a patch a couple weeks ago and those with outdated files are unable to leave amherst.
