First time playing after some time away. I installed the game today but can't launch it (see attached screenshot). I run a 2560 x 1440 resolution (but I have tried to change this to the same resolution as the game (1024x768) but that obviously didn't do the trick. Have also tried running both the Setup.exe and Patcher.exe but nope. Character Name: None created yet. Where are you having an issue(s): At launch of MapleRoyals.exe Date and Time when issue(s) occurred (GMT): Just now. Details of the issue: Stated above. What error code were you given(if any): See screenshot.
Are you sure you are using the right folder? The folder in your screenshot shows the EXE as 2017-01-01 It should be 2019-11-29
Very strange (yes I'm sure btw), look at the other files in the folder and you'll notice that most of the files have various dates (for some idk reason).
I'd try downloading again from a different mirror to see if it works. Also, are your drivers updated? And also again, if you have proxy/hamachi make sure to disable them too.
Will try redownload and reinstall using different mirror. Everything else is fine (drivers updated, proxy etc disabled too).
Ok so I did what both of you suggested, and it seems like it worked! So, thank you, and you may now close this thread (For anyone else experiencing the same issue, I'd suggest that you make sure that your installer is not old. If you're returning to the game, be sure to redownload and reinstall the entire game before attempting to log in). Edit: My issue was that I installed the game from an old installer. After downloading a new (mirror 2 @ 1024x768), removing all old files and reinstalling, everything worked fine.
hey man, i seem to be experiencing the same problem and i changed to mirror 2 but still no success, and the date states 2020, is that the right update?
