Character Name | Neglected Issue | The game has been telling me that I've been able to vote ever since my vote should have been available between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM PST; however, whenever I try to vote on the website, it says my vote is currently on cooldown. Perhaps my recent auto-ban (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-appeal.73802/) was the cause of this? I'm not sure how bans and votes work. So at one point (about 1:00 PM PST), the website had notified me that I had about 600 minutes, so I chose to wait it out. Now, having tried to vote again (1:00 AM PST), I am notified of a 1216 minute cooldown. So I'm at a loss and in need of some clarification as to what's going on please. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully there are some answers to be given soon.
The only two MAC addresses that are being shown by your account are those used by VMWare. Because so many people use VMWare and have those MAC addresses, it is making it appear that a large number of accounts (including yours) are voting from the same computer and is why you are not being allowed to vote. Once you make your MAC address visible to us, you should be able to vote. Similar discussions are mentioned in Technical Help.
Hmmm I see. Will this be fixed if I uninstall VMWare and wait for my vote to go off cooldown again? I was told to install VMWare for bossing purposes but I've noticed that simply changing the compatibility of the client to Windows 7 (With my Windows 10 computer) was sufficient.
Try uninstalling VMWare, but that will likely leave you with a blank MAC address, and you may find you get disconnected from the server after selecting a character since we have blank MAC addresses banned.
I just finished uninstalling VMWare (I haven't restarted though if it's necessary to reset any configurations) and I'm currently logged in game; however, my vote cooldown is still about 8 more hours, but I won't mind waiting if this conflict of mine is fixed. ^^
