IGN: Kreupel Last thing you did: Killing papulatus with my friend Kaizoku Why do you think you got banned?: I'm not entirely sure, but papulatus glitched on us, to a point it was not attacking anymore. My friend Kaizoku DCed and it was free to attack again. A minute later I saw a blue msg saying Kaizoku got banned, 2 secs after I got banned too. This has happened before and we might have an idea of why papulatus gets stuck. So I'm going to write a bug report as well now. But now we both got banned for nothing ... Ban message when attempting to log in: Your account has been blocked for using illegal programs or violating the game policy. You can login after apr/22/2014 What GM banned you (optional) No clue.
You two were indeed banned for abusing a glitched Papulatus to your advantage. If you encounter a glitched mob like this one, make sure to report it to a Staff member and be sure not to abuse it. "Warnings are not given prior to bans, so familiarise yourself with the ToS." You will both be able to play again in 3 days. Serve your time.
Okay, well didn't expect that. As I said, it had happened before and we were unsure why so we went testing it to write a bug report, which I have done now. I guess we should've simply left when we found out what triggered it. Shame on us I suppose. Just a shame we got banned for trying to get a bug report
I still can't help to feel we got banned unfair. As said before. We were simply doing papulatus when this happened. It happened before, without us knowing why it had happened. Now we found out what happened, proceeded to try the 2nd body of papulatus too. Now I still I don't have a complete bug report as I don't know if it happens on 2nd body. We can't test it ourselves atm, and we won't anymore either after these 3 days ban. But I do have a request of a GM testing this. Trying to use pirate summons on 1st and 2nd body of papulatus. See if it gets stuck on both bodies. If we won't get unbanned, well so be it and we wait 3 days to play again. But I can't help to think we got banned quite unfair. If ever we run into something like this again, should we simply leave or call a GM and wait? So a bug report can be made with a GM so we won't get banned like this, again.. This will be my last post on this, as I don't want to cause any trouble of any kind any further.
I can imagine your frustration, but really, I don't doubt that you are telling the truth. That is not the issue here. When a mob gets glitched like that, you have two choices; 1. Abuse it, cross your fingers and hope that you won't get caught. 2. Walk away and report it to an admin. The problem is that you did not do the latter.
The problem is however, if we'd have left right away, I'd not have a full report(which I still don't, so I hope a GM will look into my request in my previous post)As said, papulatus has 2 phases. So again, if we run into something simular like this, should we ~gm so a GM can come and test it out with us, so we don't get banned and file a report on the forums OR simply leave? (I did write a bug report with the info have atm, but it's incomplete) Thank you for answering my questions
