Heyoo. I'm not sure if there are any damage calculator threads or tutorials, in general, that goes in-depth with how our damage and a mob's damage is calculated.

The only place that I've checked was AyumiLove's Damage Formula, and she gives a nice step-by-step guide to how monster damage is calculated; however, I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that (for example) a mob's / boss's weapon ATT would be 1,200, yet they would deal over 10,000 touch damage to players. Wouldn't their weapon ATT be over 10,000?

I suppose I can understand the player damage calculator because active skills would normally multiply your current ATT. What about mobs?

Monster's damage formula is extremely complicated in my opinion (not that it's "hard" but it just looks so messy)
It factors in monster's attack (of course) and level, as well as your own defense and level. On top of that it includes your own STR, DEX, INT and LUK. Finally it includes something I like to call "expected weapon defense" which depends on your job and is kind of a reference to check what defense you should have (highest for warriors) and then you get a penalty if you have lower than that.

I actually made a calculator for this long time ago, and I believe it's fairly accuracy, but it has not been updated in a looong time.

Interesting calculator. I can see why it's complex, as it the mob's ATT takes into the consideration of nearly all of the player's stats instead of just the Weapon DEF.

It seems that it's not possible for a high-leveled boss, like Zakum, to deal only +1 touch damage, even if you max out your stats, level, and Weapon DEF to 999. ^_^'

    Thanks for the calculator though.
