Were people having fun playing nightlords? Gonna have to change that. Oh and I think people are sick of paying 2mil for potions when they run out, they probably want to pay like 15-20mil. Also you can hold down the shadow stars button accidently and blow through 10mil worth of stars in 5 seconds. Who wouldn't love that

For me, this is appropriate. The financial value in this server varies, and these changes are appropriate. This is my opinion
Let's just be honest. These changes will not be reverted because the people who want it to change will move on instead of blowing up in the forums. The majority of people reading the forums are supportive, and the voice of the minority. Making a change like selling balanced furies to the store for 50k instead of 5k... Like why... This is where the heads of the people who make the changes are at. There is nothing in the entire world that will convince them that killing off a favored class was a bad idea, because they knew this would yield a negative reaction before making the change.
“killing off”, lol, nl will 100% remain the strongest class in this server, all that changed is the upkeep price increased by a bit. Alchemist nerf will put the potion spending somewhat in line with non-nls, and star price is not as big as people make it out to be. If my lvl 70 legoman can afford using his ilbis while i have 0 access to selling shit in fm, and only getting meso from selling equips, then any low level nl should be capable of affording his stars, especially when steelies is still a super affordable choice if you want to save a bit more meso. (its 2 att only for early game)
Highest theoretical dps, in practice its very hard to effectively pull it off. Any dps chart i saw act as if its possible to stay in ship for an entire boss fight, but in reality you'll break your ship once in a while and be forced to use your rapid fire. Look it up. NL on the other hand only need se to hit their theoretical highest dps. SS and their high base avoid means they barely get KB, which means less time repositioning, more time attacking. So no, sair is not the strongest class in royals. They are on par with NL at best, and lower by a tier at worst.
dude if you dont like NL dont play nostalgic servers, in the other hand not every nl gonna be op, you have to sell Thousands hours of leech to get decent gear then Thousands to leech yourself, so you have to put lot of effort to be good nl

Highest dps is highest dps no matter how hard it is to pull off. Smoke screen was extended, knocking back doesn't require repositioning in all boss fights, and night lords still need to use skills like shadow partner which takes time. Assuming these two classes are equal to eachother, why do nightlords need to suffer? This is basically bullying a class that is already known as one of the hardest to fund. Potions do less (alchemy does 125% duration and effect instead of 150%), potions cost more, and now recharging stars costs a lot for people who use illbis and better (pretty much everyone above level 120). 3 nerfs directed towards nightlords with the intention of what? it cost me 30mil to do my regular bossing run with my friends that normally costs 5mil Anybody that does not have a nightlord that is being used to kill bosses, does not understand, and does not have the right to say that it's not so bad -Ask a nightlord main. I don't see anyone here (that mains a nightlord) advocating that these changes are good changes
despite i actually like sairs...i would say by more than a tier.......theres a reason why even being known as a high dmg dealers...theyre still kinda unpopulated...
You’re 1000% right on this man they don’t understand so their opinions really shouldn’t matter on the issue main a night lord THEN talk. The new recharge price is the main issue I can deal with the alchemist nerf and finding other potions aside from ginger ales. What I can’t deal with is every time I boss “Area boss not even Zak/HT” or complete long quest lines I HAVE to spend millionsss at least 4-5m EVERY recharge having no shadow stars or having it at a super low level hurts stars run like water this is one of if not THE most unfair and unnecessary changes to a class i’ve seen my 5years on royals it’s truly ridiculous and HAS to go completely
Honestly the star price is pretty insignificant at high levels, when I did HT on my NL (I have a level 200 NL) I usually only used around 10 sets of stars (15 if the run went bad and SE dc/some dc/died etc). That's around 5m meso or so on average. You still have alchemist which means you'd use 1 less apple than others and also high avoid so you'd use less potions than other classes, so overall it actually costs you less money to run on NL than on another attacker class. As for stuff like Krex, they don't use nearly as much stars as HT (since they don't dispel), and a 30 min krex run will only use around 3-4 sets of stars which is like 1m only (which again is cheaper than other attackers since your apples/stoppers last longer) Even if you used just stoppers NLs would need like 6 stoppers less which is around 2.5m which is more than the star cost
Not sure if this is the right spot, but just wondering with all the recent changes to make ice / fire mages actually comparable to a bishop, is there any plans to help 3rd job fire mages? Explode's attack speed is garbage compared to Ice Strike, even Shining Ray has good attack speed. Only attack for F/P is frog and then magic claw, kinda makes that attack useless points and linear build basically.
People may have varied opinion on this but F/P mages already are one of the fastest grinding classes in third job due to availability of poison mist. The duration of third job is relatively short compared to 4th and beyond, and as such I don't think specific changes are required to buff third job f/ps. Furthermore, explosion for whatever reason is affected by speed infusion so you can in theory increase attack speed with SI from a buccaneer, if you choose to use it as a main attacking skill in third job.
Very true, they do have mist, im just mentioning that thats basically it. Their main "attack" for 3rd job is useless compared to any other skill of any mage. Its a linear build at this point, zero variety 70-120. All im sayin
Not everyone is a level 200 with strong enough equipment to only use 10 sets of stars on horntail. Just because you use 1 less apple than the guy next to you doesn't mean that person is spending more than you to use their character optimally
