I know all of you GMs and Developers have a lot of work with fixing bugs and bosses but I would like to know the progress of the coming updates and suggestions that haven't been confirmed yet if they are going to be added. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that there are not going to be any skill changes. What's the point of having and playing a v62 server when you have v86 skills, pink bean, etc. etc.

Now isn't really the best time to ask, as we have our hands full with testing possible Zakum issue fixes and also dealing with what happened last night. These are our priority issues. However: - Magatia: we don't have a definite yay or nay on this, but we do have it in the database. It's a possibility. - ToT/Ulu City: being worked on. - Skill changes: we'll be looking into which of these changes to implement once we have the other major stuff (as mentioned above) out of the way. - Balanced Furies (and Crimson weapons): not quite sure of the state of play on this one. We certainly do need to get some of the chain of quests leading up to being able to create Balanced Furies etc fixed. I can't give a definite yes or no here, but I think the plan is to get this working properly. - MP3 increased spawn rate: I don't think a decision has been made on this, although personally I would be in favour of it. - Monster Book: no idea
1. I can almost guarantee you that there won't be Timeless/Reverse Weapons, since I personally made the ToT droplist and did intentionally not include Piece/Rock of Time, as well as Timeless/Reverse equipment (if you want to know the reasoning for this, ask Matt, he made the decision, not me). 2. Alliances are in the game, but bugged so they do not register. They might be fixed sooner or later, I don't know. I actually recently bumped the Alliance Bug thread... lol. 4. Again, concerning Temple of Time: Pink Bean is in the files, but I doubt people would actually be possible to fight it, since it would require a full squad of Level 19x or 200 people to actually kill it, let alone the glitches/bugs and d/c problems that are very likely to occur. It's not of great use without Timeless/Reverse equip drops, anyway, the only thing you'd get from it is Maple Warrior 30 and books that are also obtainable from the way easier-to-kill Horntail.

Real shame about locking away so juicy and "grind-y" a content as reverse equipment (timeless items would've been impossible anyway). I was hoping for something to work towards on Royals during 4th job; bar Pink Bean, grinding for weeks on end for advanced crystals/monster crystals to craft near-perfect reverse equips was pretty much the entire point of ToT. I remember how frustrating it was to spend billions and billions of mesos' worth of time and effort only to get crappy reverse items with crappy stats every single try (or worse, having it boomed with a stimulator), and after months of torture, the bloody godfucking sense of satisfaction you got when you finally managed to craft a 114 WA Reverse Killic. Now all ToT has to offer now is killing mobs for level 100 equips and skillbooks you could get from literally everywhere else. And of course, doing the 999 quests, those were some good grinding fun; but will mean absolutely nothing if there isn't Pink Bean or any other end to work towards. Now the entire prospect of ToT is analogous to (and about as exciting as) knitting a thousand Christmas mittens for race horses to wear; when they could've been given to Santa's Elves instead in exchange for shiny (if usually crappy) presents I suppose that, at the very least, Temple of Time could be an inferior change of scenery to your usual training grounds; but it could've easily been so much more, especially considering how little endgame content there is on the server. I just wish there were more things to do post-lvl 120 in Royals apart from killing/dc-ing from your hundredth Zakum, or grinding/purchasing leech at skeles and big foot. Are Reverse Items extremely difficult to code? I ask because another private server has Reverse and Timeless weapons implemented, but can't get the Item Levelling to work.
You can forge Dragon weapons v: I had to make 50-60, Level 110 claws for my near-perfect one. Which is 1b+ in mesos.
o.0 does forging on this server involve advanced diamonds/black crystals/dex crystals? But farming at ToT nonstop for months whilst skyping (i.e. bitching about farming at ToT nonstop for months) with a friend was always my favourite memory ;( It's so much harder to make Reverse Items than it is to make Dragon Items, as you need adv 2 and 3 crystals, which make failed Reverse Items that much more of a toll on your wallet! This is all moot of course, if item maker were nigh on impossible to implement on this server. I guess I just got my hopes up for ToT, and if some form of substitute which exchanged Pieces of Time + "1400 monster etcs 121-131" + "2000 monster etcs 111-120" (which are sooo much harder to obtain because of the damned guardians) + thousands of crystal ores for a Reverse Item of your choice were nigh on impossible to implement, there's not really any reason to complain :/ I will just keep on playing Royals anyway (at least, until 130-140), because I love the rates and the community. It's the best amongst the other pre-bb servers... I guess I just wish that it were better.
It involves normal crystals, still as hard to farm. Just not at ToT. The Royals Godly Item system works like a Roulette with it too. Your claw can go from 40-55 clean, I think. Trust me, you will be screaming once you get into it
Oh it works with crafting?! For some reason I had this recollection of reading a thread stating that it was disabled when it came to crafting. On the other hand, adv 3 and adv 2 crystals are definitely far, far harder to farm than adv1 crystals. It's why back in the old days on the official SEA server, they cost 7 times more than adv1 crystals. The mobs at the oblivion maps are much harder to kill and have far less efficient a spawn rate than skelegons; and there's no inflation from the bishop-spam-leech culture to buffer the prices. (Imagine 3 times the difficulty obtaining the materials, plus the Godly Items System.) Also, the farming is done at ToT! Which are some beautiful maps, and if we farmed for dragon items instead what is the point of ToT!
Definitely, but getting like 100 ores, 40 scales, a level 100 weapon and a forging thing isn't hardly exactly easy to obtain, especially when you have to forge like 50-150. You need a 10% Godly to hit, but you also need +5 instead of +1 - +5. So it's more like 1% chance + the chance of getting top above average from your forging thingy. + you have to white scroll it with 10%s. The godly life in Royals can be interesting, but may not be comparable to ToT Item maker, but don't we still need magatia for that, and wasn't it Pink Bean or HT drops? Still something to do
Hmm, I've got to look into dragon item craft business tomorrow when I'm less inebriated (sounds 1/5 as difficult as reverse items, definitely! And I mean that in the most positive way, because 1/5 is pretty difficult enough.) Still wish ToT offered us the harder route though, with equivalent reward at the very end; because at of this moment I can't really see a purpose to justify the immense work it took to bring about its addition. Indeed, though with ToT items, you get all this new difficulty with the item crystals, plus the difficulty you get from crafting dragon items. I just want crafting both to be an option. And no, Reverse Items did not require Pink Bean drops (I believe that you mean Timeless Items). I think that the Item Maker skill, if we did propose to implement it, could be done absent the prior implementation of Magatia (for example, Destiny has an npc which offers the skill upon completion of a quest). Item Maker seems really hard to code however, so unless we had some form of substitute for trading in the items in exchange for Reverse Equipment, I rest my case.
I like you guys want to make updates and all, but the staff should really be concerned with that quest bug. I feel like it's a major bug that should be focused on right after zak. It can also encourage questing. With this bug it makes questing for the achievement of it pretty much useless, because you're drops don't work if you want to have a balance between grinding and quests.
Hi, if you've done any questing recently, you'll probably have noticed the many improvements our Dev has made re: this bug. Maps don't get spoiled anymore. Mobs don't stop dropping their items anymore. You get an alert telling you that you have the quest bug so that we can check our logs to see what is causing it.
