Currently, the rules about Vote Abuse at Terms & Conditions are as follow Vote Abuse - The act of attempting to, or successfully, bypassing the restrictions of voting no more than once per 24 hours. Punishment: First offense - 14 day ban, Second offense - Permanent ban. Please be aware that, in cases of severe abuse as per discretion of staff, we reserve the right to respond with a permanent ban regardless of if it is your first offense. Is it possible to include the link of Voting Rules underneath it? I feel even if players read the Terms and Conditions, they may not expect the scenarios or details stated at Voting Rules. The term 'bypassing the restrictions of voting no more than once per 24 hours' is kinda vague as it did not mention the part that was emphasized in Voting Rules - "Your household may vote once on Gtop100 per 24 hours." Hence I hope the 'Vote Abuse' section can add on the link, or updated with the context of 'household' - maybe with some examples. PS: If possible I hope the 'Voting Rules' can be updated as well as I don't think this is possible - "If you have more specific, personal enquiries, please contact myself (Katsuruka) via PM on the forum."
The T&C has been planned to have been revamped and updated but the focus now is on the game. However a good point that the rules should be outlined more in both areas. We can't be too informative when it comes to such a serious issue.
Well you say "serious issue" after all who does declare who recieves a suspension or a permanent ban. Because in my case I got permanent banned But Isn't it the GM'S PART to stop those votes Imidietly ? So again in my case of 'excessive vote abuse' you are to be accused of NOT stopping it early. instead you say "nadavzie you did an aweful thing and you get perma banned for it" What you really should've said is "We did a mistake from our part letting you do that we didnt notice, even so if you didn't know it doesnt make it right it will be a 14 day suspension, next time its permanent"
A theif was robbing people for a long time. He was doing a good job so the police didn't notice him. After a while, the police managed to catch the theif, and build a case against him for all of his robberies. Then the police set him free because it's obviously their fault for not catching him sooner. Spoiler Wait I think something is wrong with the last part
This thread is not for feedback on how vote abuse is handled at all, so please keep any further replies on topic or they will be deleted. As for changing the wording of 'household' it's hard to think of a good alternative that will not be too lengthy to read. Apparently the current setup is also inconvenient to read as we do have a problem with players claiming they did not know about the voting rules, even though they are part of the Terms & Conditions and also linked on the voting page. Maybe we could add a popup when clicking the Vote button asking if they understand and agree to the rules?
