hello every one, I'm returning to the server after a few years and I can't decide between PALADIN or DARK KNIGHT or HERO. - i know pally more wanted for HT - drk more wanted for cwk and lhc and I have no problem learning to control ZERK. - about hero dont know much ( if you have some details its be great. but from your experience, who is better bossing, mobbing and Which do you think is more recommended in general for main? thank you guys
Hi there! I am a main DK and would advice you to main DK if you like cwk, dk is best melee( hitting more monster) however if you also like HT dk is not best to do ht, but still decent. If you want to serk set potion to 9k (Milk) or 10k (cheese) hp pots. Bosses like VL need some manual healing. You also can make them both and see what you like best, I also made a class guide for DK, you might wanna check it out! Good luck! Edit: saw you also said hero! Don't know much about them, but I think they are strong for bosses such as zakum and cwk.
hero is basically the same as drk but just a lil bit weaker overall. the trade-off is you don't need to bother with zerking. especially if you decide to go 1h sword + shield, you can get Guardian (blocks 25% of damage) which makes hero a very comfy class to play (at the cost of some damage) IMO you can't go wrong with any warrior, they're all pretty well-balanced. the only limitations you'd face is that Pally isn't really wanted in CWK, and DrK can struggle to zerk in some content like Auf. but besides that they're all a good choice to main, and you'd be welcome in pretty much any party
As a DK main: Dk is (imo) one of the best first mains to pick up for many reasons. They are soft-walled for some end-game content, meaning you have to put in a lot more effort than most other classes. This is due to Berzerk having your hp capped at 50%. They excel at many things, including all solo-content (aka dailies). If this is your first character, it also matters that they have S-Tier 3rth job. Heroes are pretty much "same-same, but different". Like DK they are melee multi-hitters/mobbers. The main difference is they are not soft-walled like DK's but deal less damage. They also do not benefit as much from optimization as dk's. Tl;dr not as strong as dk but a lot more chill. Pally The one true bottle neck of any boss run. Missing out on a couple % dps (from no SI/SE), whatever. Not having Crash, hell no. 10-15 min Zakum runs turns into 20-25. They are not the best multi-attacker. Not that great single target either. Pick this if you want to play "how to make friends online?" On very easy mode I do want to stress that all this "meta-talk" people have about classes is absolutely meaningless before you hit at least level 180~ and have spend at least 1-2b meso on every piece of gear. Obviously, you want to make a choice that you wont regret once you get to this point. However, once you reach this point making a new char is fairly inconsequential. The best way to progress is to play the game, wether or not it is going to be optimal matters nothing if you're having fun.
DrK - good damage overall, easy to zerk most bosses (excluding AUF Haven / Von Leon / The Boss / Anego), best class for CWK / LHC Golems / Rose Garden but it's only a decent-average pick for Von Leon / Horntail / other bosses. Paladin - Mandatory for HT but usually people have CR Mules, very good single target, cheap-ish to fund, okay in LHC but DrK is more preferred, Crash is a good skill in some bosses (Horntail / Scarlion & Targa / Zakum) but useless in higher level bosses (Von Leon), still does very good single-target damage and AoE is uhh... mediocre if i'm being gentle (no disrespect on HH). Hero - it's like a DrK but everything is much worse. bad damage, no utility whatsoever, it's like that one kid in the class nobody want to play with but some ppl ask him to play because the popular football team captain (DrK) is not around. Easy to wash, cheap to fund, I would never open a Hero character. Disclaimer - I despise the Hero class.
Rarely seen any heros now perhaps that's why you should avoid that class, unless buffs are incoming. I say go whichever boss you like and stick to pala or drk.
Hello. I'm leveling all three warriors to level 200. Short description. Hero: easy to level up to 30,000 HP. Very good multi-attacker. He's not the strongest anywhere, but he can handle all types of content. Paladin: easy to level up to 30,000 HP. Strongest warrior against single bosses (especially Neo Tokyo). Useless in CWK. Always wanted in PT because of crashes. DK: very good from the 3rd job onwards. Very good in CWK. Poor to impossible in Neo Tokyo and Auf. Important: Attack speed! I use Dragon Carabella for Hero and Pally , ~ 86 hits/min. Dk uses Pyrope Spear, ~ 64 hits/min. For me, Hero is the best warrior because he can do everything and is easy to play.
People said the same things like 5 times here which are all generally true but I would add my personal take 1. Cr is only important for a few bosses (zak, krex horntail scarga and nibergen) and if the boss doesn't have cr people wouldn't really be happy to take a pali instead of a better single target class. 2. Zerking is super easy for most content in the game and you can auto pot almost every content in the game (even VL). 3. Pali is the only warrior who can do every content in the game without having friends who don't mind carrying you. Cwk is the main issue for pali but if you don't come as the only warrior (or have a strong shad instead of NL) and you take mage boss it's not too bad, I'm not saying pali is the best choice for most content, it's usually better to get a bucc / NL / shad and get more DPS but compared to drk/hero it's a lot better in most content while being decent in content that drk/hero are better (cwk, LHC, RG)
As a bucc main I actually found myself buying my first perfect weapon for my pally before a perf king cent and it was the best decision ever. DRK - best for LHC/CWK also strong against zakum arms. Hero is more or less the same but with a bit weaker damage. Paladin on the other hand is a powerhouse at Neo Tokyo - very comfortable to single target vergamot. dodge first body lasers while standing on the ship's right corner, dodging lasers of the 2nd body by standing on the left leg and gliding back with rush if you are pushed to the corner and being teleported left. You can destroy Dunas v1 with holy charge especially since blast keeps attacking whenever Dunas iframes and bucc can't attack. CR at Nibergen obviously, heaven's hammer to instant clear the vergamot/nibergen 3 summon waves on each body. At Dunas v2 you can trap the ship by using a monster magnet after a few hits when It's knocked back too far and during the main v2 phase you can keep v2 pushed to the corner since blast is enough to pass the required 75k damage to knockback dunas v2. Another tip to avoid v2's 1/1 with knockback+stun - use power stance after dispell and stand on Dunas v2 while attacking, that way you get touch dmg instead of stun+1/1 & super KB Also helpful at Scarga, Zakum, Krex, Horntail and very easy to rose garden with since heaven's hammer can tag the bees while keeping them alive and then they come to you instead of escaping
