Hello! I need help and advice on saving my character, so currently my goal is to reach 29,000 HP by level 170 on my future buccaneer . At level 111, I was following this calculation that I did when my character was level 96 (figure 1) by adding 135 AP into my MP at level 111, because at that point of time I have not use any AP. (Figure 1) So after doing that, I saw I was not reaching my goals and tried adding an additional 21 AP into INT, resulting this. (Figure 2) Now this is what I'm getting after recalculating using Shiyui's HP calculator, this what I'm getting. (Figure 3) I don't really understand this portion, because I have tried playing by increase the current MP value and Current Base Int, but the message remains the same. So I'm suspecting I have done something wrong or I'm not getting what is this message trying to tell me what to do at level 111. So I have left my character with Figure 2 stats. So I need assistance, figuring it out what should I actually do next, at least till level 135 where I reset my base INT away.
adding int was definitely a mistake. mp washing directly would have been cheaper since the 21 base int you added costs 21 resets at least and only provides 2mp *~20 levels = 40mp. If you directly mp washed (use stat to add mp and then reset to stat), you would need only 2 resets to get 60 mp. adding int this late in the level is not worth it, so shiyui's calculator is not giving the best advice (-mp +int) or there's some bug somewhere. some numbers/formula to know beforehand: if you add stat to mp, you gain level_up_mp_gain + base_int / 10 mp (correct me if I'm wrong, this is what I remember atm) for buccs, that is 20.5 (average) + 271/10 = 20.5+27=47.5 = 47 (if we round down) it costs 16 mp to -mp +stat or -mp +hp. you gain 40hp for every +hp reset if you mp wash, you need to add stat to mp (gain 47mp) and then use a reset to -16 mp back to str. Which means you get 31mp per mp wash. some math: stats added to mp as of now: 139 mp cost for resetting mp to str: 2,224 min mp formula for bucc at level 135: 18 * level + 111 = 18 * 135 + 111 = 2,541 mp at level 135: 10,742 + 47 (avg mp gain; underestimate) * 24 + 175 (job adv) = 12,045 leftover mp for resetting to hp: 12,045 - 2,224 -2,541 = 7280 how much 'additional' hp necessary to hit 29k = 29,000 - 6,124 - 975 (job adv) - 2,400 (approximate for leveling up to 175) = 19,501 'additional' mp needed: 19,501 / 40 (hp gotten for every reset to hp) * 16 (mp cost per reset) = 7800 you need ~520mp more. Every mp wash cycle should give you 30mp, so you need to mp wash 17.3 times or rounding up, 18 times to get enough mp.
Okay, this what I understand based on your post. At this current junction, I would need an additional 520 mp, Which is roughly 18 cycles of MP washing, or Use an AP Reset to pull out some MP. Then use that extra AP to add to HP. 40HP gain from MP washing x 18 = 720 HP Which I can do at my current level of 111. After doing so, I shouldn't touch anything until level 135. At level 135... I will spend 267 AP resets to reset (271 current base INT - 4) into STR I will spend 139 AP resets to move 139 AP that was added to MP into STR I will spend xxx AP resets to move MP into HP, until I have reach the minimum mp at level 135 Did I got it right?
Sorry, I made a mistake in the mp gain calculation corrections: ... for buccs, that is 20.5 (average) 11 + 271/10 = 38 (if we round down) ... if you mp wash, you need to add stat to mp (gain 38mp) and then use a reset to -16 mp back to str. Which means you get 31mp22mp per mp wash. ... mp at level 135: 10,742 + 38 (avg mp gain) * 24 + 175 (job adv) = 11,829 leftover mp for resetting to hp: 11,829 - 2,224 -2,541 = 7,064 how much 'additional' hp necessary to hit 29k = 29,000 - 6,124 - 975 (job adv) - 2,400 (approximate for leveling up to 175) = 19,501 'additional' mp needed: 19,501 / 40 (hp gotten for every reset to hp) * 16 (mp cost per reset) = 7800 you need ~736mp more. ... 736 / 22 = 34 (round up) Yes, so you need to the above 34 times. Yup. You get a fixed 40 hp per ap reset from mp to hp, so you just need to make sure to hit the right mp amount. The variance in mp gain from levelling and mp wash is quite small, so I don't think rng can mess this up much.
