Hey Royals, So, based on a discussion I had with some guildies a little while back, I have a simple question: What would happen if you equipped a weapon with 0 att and no other attack gear? We all know that not having a weapon equipped will automatically set your damage range to 0 and prohibits you from attacking normally, but what if you were to equip a weapon that has 0 weapon attack, as well as have no other gear that provides any other weapon attack? Would you still be able to attack? Would you have 1-1 damage range? Would you just miss every hit? Based on my understanding of the attack damage formula, such a case would in theory result in having 0 damage range, regardless of what your main stats are. As far as I'm aware, every single weapon in the game comes with some weapon attack on it, but if say for instance, you chaos something like a pico-pico hammer to 0 att (assuming that's possible) and equipped it with no other attack gear, what would be the results? Obviously chaosing a pico pico hammer would be kinda a expensive proposition to do just to test this, but if anyone on Royals knows for sure what happens, let me know! Also, before anyone brings it up, I'm aware that pirates, unlike every other class, are able to use basic attacks without any weapons equipped. However, doing so uses a different formula and technically uses their level or something to calculate their "weapon attack" while going bare handed.

Hmm, I'd rather see what happens in Royal's itself to verify, rather than taking some guy on Gamefaqs's word for it lol, cuz there might be differences between the versions and all that. Though if I had to guess, it would probably just set your damage range to 1-1 as they said in the post EDIT: also the maple flag has 1 wep att I think, so maybe this person isn't remembering it right lol
no no, you might not take my word too, but im quite shure there was a maple flag with no att back then...realeased with 4th of july events....then came red and blue with 1 att...
Hmm, wasn't aware of that. I just assumed that the ones that are in the Royals library were the only ones that existed during that time xD
It would go down slightly, but wouldn't go to 0. I think at that level, going bare handed would give you something like 31 weapon att.
Well, a very kind soul was able to lend me a 0 att maple flag, so now we can see what actually does happen: ...and yeah, it's 1~1 damage, which is sorta what I expected. TBH part of me kinda wanted it to go to 0 damage range and break the game when you try to attack, but alas, good programming prevails.
