What job did you play in GMS/EMS/MSEA? After seeing the "What is your favorite job thread" I'd just like to know what class did you play back in MapleStories golden days? I myself first started out as a cleric got it level 38 and got bored with it. Then I started a bandit got it to second job and then I quit that and realized I didn't enjoy playing jobs and I wanted something different, Thus I created my beginner in 2005 named "Msbeginner1". It was supposed to stand for "MapleStoryBeginner1" But I was in sixth grade and I didn't capitalize the "s". But anyways I loved my beginner I loved that fact that I was different and I enjoyed leveling it because I knew that I already had my three beginner skills so I didn't have to achieve anything but just to level up. I enjoyed PQing and the great people that I meet along the way that is why I love MapleStory.
Just sayin' I miss all my old maplestory friends: Daniel(drichards), Danny(inexp) Sam(xStrikemage) MadeByPixel, Lydia, Justin(Justinnoob), Mike(Cak3n), xDkownzya, Anthony, Jasi(ClickTHAT), Boobie(CabinBoy), Jim(iLief). The list can go on and on I miss all my old friends that would help me train and who supported me being a beginner.

When I first started eMS I didn't know how to leave henesys, nor the fact that level 10 was for 1st job advancement, so I had a level 14 beginner with equally divided stats. I eventually gained 25 dex after hours of five man parties at pigs allowing me to become an archer, only to find out I had messed up everything.
    In all I have achieved:

    eMS Kradia (1x/2x exp):

    Level 50 Assassin - Holy2Sik
Level 91 Dark Knight - Magbi
    Level 101 Priest - Alex016

    eMS Demethos (2x/4x exp):

    Level 160 Bowmaster - Maggles
    Level 102 Priest - Magalicious
Level 61 Aran (Aran Ring)- Guam
Level 65 Pirate (Pirate Ring)- n/a
Level 120 KoC (Blaze Wizard BoS Mule) - n/a
Level 132 Battle Mage - Tyronosaurus

    MapleRoyals Prewipe (10x exp):

    Level 200 Hero - Sadist
Level 165 Night Lord - Drugs
    Level 143 Shadower - Caps
Level 150 Night Lord - Tumblr
    Level 98 Priest - Fiesta
    Level 142 Arch Mage (I/L) - Pope

    MapleRoyals Postwipe (4x exp):

    Level 184 Bishop - Hacker
Level 169 Night Lord - Dick
    Level 150 Shadower - Tater
Level 115 Dark Knight - Synergy

My brother introduced me to Maplesea in June 2005- so I guess I was 12 going on 13 when I started playing on Aquila. I think Beta just ended- and everyone was relatively new- the highest level was lvl 50 or something when I started.

I made three characters which I played over the span of the next 3-4 years, quitting every few months or so for exams. My first trainable legit, and main- was a Cleric: iHotarui (Not withstanding my first initial characters which became mules- a warrior with high int, and a mage with strength). The thing which stood out the most in my memory was how everyone back then was so nice. People were friendly and kind- and you made friends easily just from training randomly with a stranger. HS didn't exist then-or for that matter; third job- so everyone partied. I remember choosing a cleric so that I could heal my friends because everyone kept dying when they explored at sleepywood dungeons (LOL).

My next character a year later was a warrior (fighter named Tsukaasa) because everyone wanted to be strong. I got her to lvl 50- and got so addicted to LPQ that I would literally spend hours LPQing- tracking people and doing it the entire night. I would be so shagged at school the next day, but it was worth it.

Finally, when 4th job came out (2007?) with GPQ (I think it was around the same time)- I made a sin (Rian). Never got her past third job though because it was then when I started training my then priest properly- into Bishop for GPQ purposes. Maybe that's why I always make a bishop first all the time- for sentimental value...

I can't remember the exact date when I quit, but I remember Evans and KoCs being released and I was like fuck that- it's going to get downhill from here; and I left. Wasn't prominent like Mryandao or xshadowsinx (or that DrK girl who was MYD's competitor) but I was in a guild which felt like family and that kept me going-we were nibs (sort of) but we were niblets togethaaaaaaaaaaaa

I only started training hardcore when I rediscovered maple in 2012- on another private server with a shitty owner but with amazing people like dan, gina, neal, brandon, etc... but that's another story for another day :)

Bowmaster. I play an archer in every RPG, at least as my main character.

I even learned some archery in real life. I'm not great at it, but own my own bow and every so often I go out and target shoot.

I Bolded The Classes incase you're too lazy to read.

My cousin introduced me into Maplestory GMS in 2006, he gave me his character clown because he knew I would be hooked onto this game so he just made me the character and the account, this is all way I later lost my account completely because after he quit, he forgot that email and the password to that email, and I regretted not writing it down.

He was a collector, he sent me this awhile ago:

My first job overall was a spearman but that was when I never had a computer and I played only when I went to his house which was every week 2~4 times sometimes even slept over. Summer was a big time for us, we've been playing together for so long and that is the reason why this server brings me so much joy I just wish he can play with me. When I finally got my own computer and he downloaded it for me and we played from eachother's houses oh my goodness I couldn't wait to wake up the next day and play again. I really miss it overall but yea my first class was spearman until I finally got the computer and made an assassin.

Surprisingly I remember my first days on MapleStory pretty clearly. It was 2006 on GMS, I started as a warrior and I think the highest level I reached was 16. I was completely ignorant, had no idea why I had Misses with all my attacks, and my english was also terrible so I could not get any help from anyone. That character was called kujaintrance, which still appears on the rankings on the official GMS website today.

I believe I also started another character at that time, a rogue and reached 22 with it. I was never the kind of player who trains alot, so it took me a VERY long time to reach 2nd job. Much later, I started a bandit circa 2008-2009 on Bera server and the highest level I got with it was about 83, after months of hard work and training. That character was Zodiax, and I was in the official HiddenStreet guild of Bera at that time.

Thats a little bit of my history as a mapler. Alot has changed since then, so looking back at it today it makes me realize how pathetic and ignorant I was back then. It is sad to remember it started that way, but I have improved so much since then though. My english, training, communicating, everything.

I remember me and some buddies started playing Global MapleStory back in like 7th grade or something. Anyway, I finally reached 2nd job after probably a month, because back then it actually took more than an hour to get level 70, granted I was a bit slow going. So I was in Grendel's little magical library and there was a lady with me (I did not know her.) She asked me the same question you guys pose right now, and I said, "No idea! Which one are you going to choose?" She told me she was going to pick the cleric, and that was about healing people in parties. I decided I wanted to be strong and powerful, so I went the fire route. Needless to say I was useless and ended up only getting level 54 before I quit and made a level 50 or so dexless assassin. I had a few other odd jobs, but these were the most successful out of them.

(my very first was a bowman, only level 20 or so before I made the mage because I had messed up stats and I didn't want to play it anymore)

I played many classes, but my true main was a Shadower.

LOVED the variety of skills and the different combinations that fit different play styles.
It was also an underrated class at the time - which attracted me even more... (someone once saw me in FM and actually said "Wow a Shad... don't see many of those nowadays").

    My accomplishments

    - Made it to top 15-20 Shadowers of gMS (Pre-BigBang)... never made it to 200 though :/

    - Beat csenger's lowest level Zak. solo (his was 13x, I think I did mine in the late 12x).

    - Pretty much ran BF and RG with my buddies in Galicia haha

    - HP washed that guy so that I could take hits from Anego.

And some other cool things you can find on my youtube channel :p

    RIP HighRises ~f4

I played just about everything! BUT I have to say out of all the classes, my favorite was Hero. The raw power was perfect for me and I QUICKLY grew to love it.

    Definitely Dark Knight.

I started out in GMS Mardia as a noob I/L mage that got to level 34. Then I saw Maple Heroes videos of Tiger and others, and saw some Dragon Knights using Dragon Roar, and fell in love with that skill (4th job wasn't out).

So I started a character named OwnsZakum, who got to level 99 as a Dragon Knight, and got hacked :( This is also where I met Matt and others from Mardia Synergy guild. We were the first ones to get to 100k GPs in GPQ ;)

After I got hacked, I took a break for 1 or two years, only to be called up by Matt again to start out with our guildies in the new server: Demethos. It was great, and I vowed to become the guild's DrK. Unfortunately, I didn't play enough and eventually some guildies quit.
I did come back to finish the job, and I'm proud to say that I was able to get to level 120 before BigBang, without leeching any one level. It was tough, but worth being 4th job for the first time ever.

Then BB came out, leveling became easy, I was made stronger and with better skills (revamped zerk, anyone?) and managed to climb to level 144, my highest level ever. Eventually this character, too, got hacked and there's no point in playing it anymore.

Seriously, who the f*ck takes the time to hack an awol character which you've no idea if they got anything good in inventory??

    Some highlights:
I was completely dexless this time around, compared to 30 base dex I had in OwnsZakum. A good friend of mine lent me his 21dex robe, and later got banned :x

I got to level 70 by doing rush LMPQ like a BOSS. That's ludi-maze pq, for anyone wondering. I could rush that shit like no other, averaging less than 1:20 mins per pq. I think my fastest time must've been around 54 seconds.

No leech til 120. This is when it became popular. I think they had to rework party EXP cause of it.

Screw buying zhelms. I think I got mine when invited by a guild to Zrun around level 8x.

I don't think I've ever been married in Maplestory, lol.

My friend showed me MapleStory (specifically GMS) back in 2005/2006 or so. I was hooked and the first character I made was a thief and it reached about level 40 or so.
    Welp, that's about it.

    Bandit in beta.

Played a Bishop (mainly) in GMS, when they were actually needed. Always tend to play support roles in MMOs, as I don't really trust others to do as good of a job as I can do. ~f3 Used that to leech an axe hero, but I ended up quitting because being a useful attacker back then required a level of merching I could never achieve (or several hundred dollars a month).

Quit after big bang for a while. Friends and I decided we were going to go all out on new servers. Ended up the #1 MM for a while on elnido, #1 I/L for a while on galicia. Quit both after a few weeks. It was never the same!
