Spread out from 1st job to 4th, which job does the most damage if they only wear their regular equips
Corsairs followed by Night Lords if we're considering they have all of their optimal buffs. 1st-3rd job doesn't really boil down to damage/DPS. It's more training speed, but Assassin/Hermits would have an advantage over all classes thanks to Sharp Eyes.
They aren't slouches by any means, but they can lag behind a very competent Shadower using Mesos Explosion and Dark Knight with Speed Infusion. I'd say top 5 among classes.
I think it's more like Sair > Nl > Bm > Shad > Dk >Hero Not sure of shadowers dps but they do compete as top dps (if you are good) especially with all weapon cancels of bosses making them even better. Might even be shad > bm This is a team game, going only for highest dmg is not a good way to play, or fun. Edit: thanks Ness!
Even with SI, at end game gear a Hero is going to be stronger than a DrK. Math has been done a couple times. It's slight - about a 5% advantage. At any point before then, they're so close to equal that it comes down to funding or scrolling luck. That's assuming the DrK is zerking, of course, or it's not even close so get that maxed ASAP. Single Target (end game equips): Sair (on boat) > NL (with SE) > Hero = DrK = BM = NL (without SE) > Sair (off boat) = in this case means within about 5% of the next. So DrK is within 5% of hero and BM is within 5% of DrK, but BM is not within 5% of Hero. > means more than 5%, but in actual effect is more like 20%. On 2 or more targets at once (leg/arm/wing at HT, or zak arms for example) the warriors take over. Shadowers are real outliers - most people will fall somewhere lower than NL with SE and higher than NL without SE, depending on the individual and how fast they drop mesos. Not sure where marksmen fit in - probably right above sair off boat. Paladins are heavily dependent on elements, so to list them you would have to be able to say what boss in particular you're fighting. I think they outdamage a hero on anego, tie them on bigfoot, and lose miserably at neutral things, so overall they're down near the sair off boat since most end game bosses are neutral.
@Michael said he gets whited by Nl's with 6k+ range, a BM with 8k range would probably do more than a 10k range hero. @Marty said he does more dmg than well, Shad > Nl with 6k range With 5.5k range I have been whited by both (bm, shad), I don't have any numbers but I don't think a hero does more dmg than a bm or shad. I hope you don't mean they are all equal dmg
Hope this helps: Without party buffs: Sair > Hero/Shad* > NL > DrK > BM > other classes With SE, without SI: NL/Sair** > Hero/Shad* > DrK > BM > other classes With SE/SI: Sair > NL > DrK > Hero > Shad > BM * Depends on how fast the Shadower can drop mesos, but they normally are about equal. In the long run, Heroes will outscale in most cases. ** Depends on how good the Sair is at dis- and remounting his boat. I've done the math on the Corsair vs NL debate, it's in Sila's/my NL guide (check my signature). Spoiler: Details It really depends on what boss you're fighting, too, for the comparison of Warriors with Shadowers. At Bigfoot, a Shadower will fall behind Warriors on higher levels, but they can do BF as early as LV. 70 (Shadowers). At bosses like Zakum that stand still, Shadowers will take the lead and white even some Sairs and NLs if they're fast droppers. At HT, it's hard to tell, since Shadowers are normally tail/leg target and put at the top with head A. Me and @Michael have compared it a few times; with a 5-6 bags/second droprate, we were about equal, so most Shadowers will be around that level. If you're a fast dropper (7.5+ bags/second), you'll white most Heroes and possibly even NLs.
If no SE a BM easily whites a NL. Beginners > Nl without SE. Since all this about DrK/hero's I thought they would be closer to each other. The shad thing they are probably stronger than most classes unless very very well geared?
I did the math, NL>BM even without SE. It's only by a bit (4% advantage), though. Shads have static damage, unlike other classes, so they won't do more damage with ME at LV. 200 as they did at LV. 81. Only Shifter/SS help here (unless you have perfect items and outdamage ME with Assassinate+Bstep combo). So yes, in the end, it depends on the gear of the other classes and how fast you drop.
An 8k range BM (aka adam) is "about" equal in funding to tim, an 11k range hero. On single targets they're more or less equal. The BM hits for a higher % per minute, but the hero is doing more damage per % if that makes any sense. As I stated, shads highly depend on drop speed, but there's a hard cap on them where end game NLs and sairs will always white them on apples, because the server cant process dropping speeds after a certain point. Very powerful shads with assassinate will also white shads using ME, marty has done that math several times. I posted what I meant by "=" previously so I'm not going to do it again. with equal funding a BM never "easily" whites a NL. They are roughly equivalent if the B< is getting SE and the NL is not - so close that it's down to funding, similar to DrK/Hero. DrK and Hero are incredibly close. Without SI a ST hero is about 8% stronger than a ski DrK. With SI a Claymore Hero is about 4% stronger than a ski DrK.
I did the math, a paladin wins by far in dps nightlords have flash jump tho so nerf them please. math: paladin + weapon * amount of swag based on lvl = 699,999 dps in the optimal situation. paladins are also better at any boss in the game because heaven's hammer brings the boss down to 1hp. tldr: dont make a paladin
