Hey! I have the issue that especially in bigger guilds/alliances or in guilds/alliances that are active in recruiting members it is hard to keep track of who's actually in the own guild or someone from the guild alliance. This was especially hard the first days / weeks when I joined a new guild/alliance. Whenever I saw a new login notification, I manually had to check if that player is from 'my' guild or someone from the alliance - also my brain sucks so I kept forgetting and had to recheck In my humble opinion it would be super helpful if the "[whoever] is logged in" popup would use different background colors, depending on if the user is a buddy, someone from my guild or someone from the guild alliance. A "simple" change with huge leraning impact imo. Of course there would be things to clarify like "I got this dude in my buddy but also in guild" - maybe it would make sense to prioritize like buddy > guild > alliance or something like that.
This is extremely awesome idea, and would be great to have a setting to disable login/same channel notification!
I love this idea, and personally wouldn't mind keeping the original color for buddy, and giving the chat colors to their respectives (purple for guild, the "green" for alliance.) I also agree that the priority should be buddy > guild > alliance. I guess there is the option of spouse (and party), but imo that's not really core to the usefulness of the suggestion. I suppose some hiccups are implementation, nostalgia (how much custom is too custom?), confusion (with trade or other actions), and color blind folks, but that's all that comes to mind.
