heey so i've been playing on royals on my desktop, and i'd really like to install it on my laptop but unfortunately i have been having issues. i'm not very good with computers either, so that doesn't help. well anyways i cant get it to work, i have windows 8 and when i download the client normally and try to play it gives me "failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D" i tried playing around with the "lulwut" but due to my lack in computer intelligence i don't really understand how to use it. ALSO to note my laptop is also touchscreen. i don't know if that makes a difference or not regarding the Gr2D thing.

if it's not too much to ask for, can anyone comment detailed, yet easy to follow instructions on how they got their game to work on windows 8. please and thank you :)

thanks for your time for reading this thread :)

    I honestly don't know...

I just switched back to Windows 8 myself... And apart from having to try and start the game several times before it actually works, I have no problem with it. And the error I get is this, not the Gr2D thing... And I'm not using the "lolwut" thing.

"De parameter is onjuist." means "The parameter is false."

Sorry. :c Maybe someone else knows? Maybe trying to start the game in compatibility mode would work... My MapleRoyals client didn't work before that, either.

You can also try the Setup.exe that gets installed which configures display properties for Maple. Maybe it's something within there.

I've run into this problem on both OS's. I've reinstalled the game, updated graphics drivers, and dropped the compatibility to Windows 95 and it has worked for me. It's Maple not being able to come up with the correct parameters to launch.
