I have downloaded Parallels 9 for Mac and am running Windows XP coherently. I have downloaded the windows version of MapleRoyals too. However when I get to the character selection page, I double click and it freezes and brings me back to the initial login page. It also comes up with the message "Unable to connect to the game server. Please try again". I am able to run it fine on a mac but need to run it on a windows so I can zak. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: I have tried running mac and windows not coherently (separately) and I still encounter the same problem.

Please download the newest client. Check the announcements/news pages/threads.

That message when attempting to select a character should only appear if
    1) You are banned (impossible without hacks).
    2) You are already logged in.
    3) IP address changed between login screen and character select screen.

Can you try configuring a static IP address?

Alright so I did those steps as well as the part where it says.. If this does not work do .....: and now it comes up with :
We are unable to connect to the login server due to a server check, a firewall block or other network issues. Please check the maplestory homepage for ongoing server checks as well as your firewall settings.

Are you able to connect to the internet with those settings? And just not MapleRoyals?

Oh no. After changing to a static IP address, I can't access the internet on windows parallel anymore. :O

Ugh... I'm sorry, maybe you must have done it wrong, or my theory is incorrect. I am not sure what else to suggest as I have never used parallels with MapleRoyals nor do I have a mac to help try and test it with. I know there are many mac users so hopefully somebody with experience can help you.

Okay I've changed the IP settings back and I can now connect to the internet on windows but I still get the same message that "We are unable to log into the server......." I am just wondering whether the fact that I can log onto the internet makes a difference to anything?

Then it just goes back to making sure you have the right client. This message would appear if you had the wrong client that's for sure. But I can't guarantee that it is the problem.

So I just came back from work and I tried to log in and have the same problem, I can't get into game after character select and it brings me back to the log in screen saying "Unable to connect to the game server". My IP isn't changed either. Was I banned? It worked perfectly and I was on yesterday.

EDIT: Nevermind, everyone else is experiencing this issue.
