Character Name: Zomgturkey Need4Speed Last thing you did: Gached at mushroom shrine Why do you think you got banned?: For trading my 5/6/0/3 roa for a 139 sky ski Ban message when attempting to log in: id has been blocked or deleted from connection What GM banned you (optional): TimK On September 10th in the early morning 3-5am est I bought a clean Ring of Alchemist and bought a chaos scroll from FM and it went 5/6/0/3. Being ecstatic since the past two RoAs I scrolled had failed, I instantly look to sell it and make some profit see my selling thread: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/s-5-6-0-3-roa.172453/ Being late in the morning I went to sleep and the next afternoon at around September 10 2020 2:20 pm I smega'd the 5/6/0/3 RoA again and received an offer for 139 attack sky skis for my ring. The user IGN was BearBunny and they told me that the were retiring their DK and wanted to trade my RoA with their ski's. I asked them first if they were perfect clean (104 attack) and he said they were 139. This was the point when I saw a good offer and took him up on the trade to see if it was BS or not. Took screen captures of the pm's and trade window when I realized what this person wanted to trade me. Can check my chat/trade logs to see that there was nothing suspicious on my end or on my previous chat history. I assumed alot of people would make that trade and did not want to pass on the opportunity to make a good profit by trading up. I want to make it clear that I in no way participated in any illicit activities, and I'm certain that the evidence I have provided along with any logs you may have will exonerate me.
You were banned for suspicious activity because there's a difference between a good trade for profit and an estimated value of 8b for a ring being traded for a 30b weapon with a lvl 52 character that has no equips besides an NX overall. You said you only communicated with Bearbunny which I dont doubt however Bearbunny logged in, messaged you by whisper, met up with you, did the trade and logged out again for that day all within 4 minutes. This leads us to believe there could be a possible set up of something suspicious as nobody would make such a trade within 4 minutes of logging in and then deciding:' that's enough maple for today!' We hope to hear from Bearbunny too in ban appeals to get to the bottom of this
If that were the case, BearBunny is clearly a storage mule, and even if banned and they might never respond. I saw a good deal and wanted to trade it before the chance passed up. It seems like this mule owner saw my smega's for my ring and logged onto the mule to trade me the item. I'm almost sure 90% of the population would have taken that trade in a heartbeat which means that anyone with a perfect weapon could potentially trade a godly weapon to someone to get that person banned. A bit frustrating that this is a situation that can happen on the server.
Hello I was wondering if there is an update on my appeal. Everything I've listed in my last posts have been completely honest but I am still unfairly banned because of receiving a good trade. If there had been a clause in the game terms and conditions warning about "too good to be true" trades, I would have not accepted the trade for the ski's and even reported the trader for offering me that trade. If there is a way to reverse the trade I would gladly take it to remove my suspicion. Since I have started the game in late April, I have been working towards better gear and level progression on my characters. I would never do anything illegal in and out of the game to cheat my way into a higher level/gear and I hope you GM's and Admins can see this by looking at my bossing/leeching/playing history and chat logs. Thanks for taking the time to consider this and I believe in the staff to make the best decision possible.
Hey Tim any update on my ban status? Congrats on having a successful update and new staff changes by the way However, I have been kept in the dark for two weeks regarding my ban appeal and feel it is unjust. I can't see what information you guys have or dont have but I'm assuming if I had done anything else that was suspicious or against the t&c it would be brought up or mentioned in my ban appeal. I'm an honest hardworking player in this server but because someone offered me a trade I couldn't refuse I am banned on suspicious activity for the perfect skis (which I can't even use since I am a paly/bishop main). To those reading this and suspect me of being guilty of getting the ski's illegally, I ask you: if you were in my situation (selling a 8b item) would you take the ski's (30b item) if they were offered randomly to you. Obviously in hindsight, most of the people here would say no because you can be banned on suspicion of getting this trade illegally. However at the time, I was naïve enough to think that this was just an insanely lucky break for merching my items and would not have done this trade had I know it would be bannable. The game terms and conditions should reflect this, which they do not at the moment. Lastly, I would like to say that anyone who knows me knows that I am not the type of person to cheat myself into better gear or substantial amounts of mesos. I have always respected the amount of work honest players in this server have put in to reach the equipment and levels that they have achieved and would like to consider myself a part of that category even though I have started not too long ago. The friends and connections I've made playing on your sever greatly exceed any value those ski's have to offer. I hope this is evident in the amount of people advocating for me online. Thank you to everyone who has done so since my ban you know who you are <3 I hope you can look past the suspicious trade and see that I am a hardworking player on this server who made a foolish error in accepting the trade.
Based on the provided evidence and circumstances we have decided to take the illegit sky ski back from your character and returned your ring to you to undo this trade. We genuinely believe you weren't aware of the ''too good to be true'' transaction and after discussing it with staff we concluded that we will include a rule regarding transactions like this in our soon to be updated Game Terms and Conditions. You've been unbanned!
