First of all, I must make clear that this tutorial is made only for me and I've only tested on windows systems (including Windows 8 and 8.1).

    I'm sorry for MAC users.

Anyway I invite MAC users to share their experiences and alternative solutions ~

JoyToKey is an application that lets you emulate keyboard keys computer in any button on the USB Control (Includes those with Dualshock functionality).

The first thing to do is download the application JoyToKey: https://mega.co.nz/#!JJxx1JpD!lSgwogGdTEK-Jbtvun53jhyi2Qkgim2X-sEiEZhfVNc

    VirusTotal Scan: https://www.virustotal.com/es/file/...0aa30417f17b494df1f66488/analysis/1413907342/

Place the file in a specific folder, for example: C:\JoyToKey

Unzip the file using WinRar, Official Site to Download WinRar: http://www.winrar.es/descargas

Example of how to do it
    [IMG]

The folder you extracted the file must contain the following files. Then run JoyToKey as administrator.

Running JoyToKey, see the program interface.
The first thing to do is create or rename a profile of our Joystick settings
    [IMG]

Then you have to configure the keys you want to emulate the control program JoyToKey
(I recommend first taking a screenshot of your Maplestory keyboard settings)

Pressing any button on our Joystick, the program we will highlight the corresponding yellow button that button.
I will press the direction arrow up (stick up) to see how it works
    [IMG]

After having defined key. You have to configure it. Here show you the key steps to know how the settings. Anyway everyone is free to set up the program in their own way.
Following my custom settings, you must perform these steps:

Follow the above step to set the other buttons. The configuration should look like this:

If you activate analog mode the control will have access to more buttons in the program (arrows, sticks, buttons R1 R2 L1 L2).
    should look like this:
(Remember, this is my character settings. You can create your own settings who are according to your comfort).

Finally, you must set a loop for those buttons pressed leave where necessary (eg, space bar to jump like crazy. Or an automatic attack (for me, Power Strike and Slash Blast).
The configuration should look like this:

Filling in the box "comment" can enter some text in order to make easier the configuration process.

It is important to save the settings to avoid losing data
    [IMG]

Finally, it should leave the program open and then open the game Maplestory. Thus the program will recognize the new open application (MapleRoyals.exe), and be able to play with your analog Control.

All images were captured by me using Lightshot and edited using Paint.Net

I apologize for any misunderstanding on my English (my native language is Spanish). But I did my best for the English may be the most correct according to my knowledge (and a bit of google translator).

If the controller is recognised by Windows, then yes. So basically any PlayStation/Xbox 360 controller with USB cable (or your computer/laptop has Bluetooth!) or any cheaper, non-brand version of it. It also works with joysticks of many sorts.

I like to set up my DualShock3 as a 360 controller via ScarletCrush drivers and then use XPadder. Great tutorial by the way. Should be helpful.

On my Mac i use something called ControllerMate with PS3 (Dualshock controller) that connects via Bluetooth. It took me about 15 mins to set up, and works perfectly. Ive never played Maple with a controller before, but now i wont play without <3

I've tried playing MapleRoyals on my Mac - bootcamped into Windows 7, and using a Hori Minipad (N64 controller), via N64 to USB adapter, with Joy2key. It worked fine but it takes a lot of getting used to when playing a Hermit though.

I have exact problem like u with my controller. I tested with other applicants, it works fine but didn't work at all in MapleRoyals. I have a Dual Shock 4 + DS4Windows to map all the keys. Later I tried to run the DS4Windows as administrator and I was able to move around but COULD NOT attack, pots, or skills whatsoever.

@LowTierPage: have u ever tried the ScarletCrush driver with MapleRoyals? Does it work?

Doesn't work for me. It just doesn't detect it on Royals.
Don't know if it is my controller, or whatever.
I'm using a Rock candy controller.

So when working with Joytokey, there didn't seem to be any obvious way to create modifier buttons in the program. For example, pressing RT and LT to make the face button use different moves. I've finally figured out how to get this to work.

You'll need to go to Settings, Preferences, and at the top, you will see the following options
    [IMG]
    https://gyazo.com/949bd2afaa1537b40e22b59eb30d4487
Make sure that Highlight pressed buttons for all tabs is ticked. This wasn't very clear to me at first, but its necessary.

Next, to set up a modifier button, you select which button you want to make your modifier key, edit it, and go to "Special" [IMG]
    https://gyazo.com/d7d88a372f3cb213626283f366c768d7
Make sure to change the drop down box to "Joystick 2"

Once that's done, press "OK" and Fill in whatever different layout you had in mind when you have that button pressed into the Joystick 2 tab.[IMG]

    is this still available?
I got a ds 4 and use Ds4Window to have the controller work, but it seem it can only control normal directions: up down left right
and keys I assigned like X to Jump, C to attack
    cannot work. Can anyone help?
I check the chat in game, when I press X button in the controller, the chat does output an x

Problem sold: i figured how to bind keyboard's key to controller's key
