Nice guide, very comprehensive. Question though, 7m per bigfoot? What size bags are we talking about? I was dropping 5k bags, and it took over 11m to kill it. I wasted very little, almost all the bags hit the bigfoot. So I can't really imagine doing it for less than 10m if you're using 5k bags.
I think the estimatation of 7 mil is the lowest possible unless you're making mistakes during bombing such as missing the hitbox or bombing during Bigfoot's iframe ( which is very annoying). I've bombed 3 bigfoot so far. If you do it perfectly it should take around 7 mil (abit more or less).
My ME is level 30. I'll try again later and take extra care. Maybe what happened was that some of my bags expired.
Normally it takes me about 8m, but thats cause I only semi-concentrating when BFing, so I can't imagine going anywhere near 11m
Another question: has anyone soloed Zakum using meso explosion only? How much money would that take? I was thinking of going 2-man (dit and bishop) and see if it could be profitable. Assuming it takes 100m to kill, you could make more than that just from selling helms alone. And imagine if a Genesis 20 drops! 1 billion right there.
You can only bomb 5/8 arms, so the Bishop will have to do the rest + Bstep. At body, it's easily possible, though, but will take a lot of money. I'm guessing 100m, possibly a bit more. I've never actually solo'd it yet... I normally duo with a NL/Sair/BM (I barely Zak anyway lol)
ok final question before I go and try to kill zakum! 1) At zak body, when I'm in dark sight and dropping mesos in the middle, I won't get hit by the 1/1 attack right? Only the lightning attack? 2) when exploding the mesos, can I just spam hold the ME key? Or do I have to wait until the animation is finished before pressing the key again?
cant comment on the first one, but there's a section of the guide that specifically addresses this one. Go to the part about meso explosion mechanics, and then read the "advanced techniques: speed bombing"
Yes, you spam, since that way, you deal more damage with the same amount of mesos. Refer to the Speed Bombing section, as @jmmainvi said. As for your first question, you will get hit, but your pet normally heals you. Dark Sight doesn't avoid Magic attacks, sadly. And, not to mention, Shadowers barely get hit with their ridiculous Avoidability and 40% Shadow Shifter proc rate.
For my main bossing macro i use BS + SB x 2. What lvl of Assassinate outdamages the BS SB combo? I want to use the BS + DS + Assassinate combo. My Assassinate is lvl 3 right now.
I did it! I killed zakum with my dit. Went in by myself on 2 chars (dit and bish). This was actually my 2nd try. On the first try I had to abort because my dit died (twice). What I learned was that during body, I can concentrate 100% on the dit and leave the bish alone, because the bish can easily tank touching the body, and pet will heal it. Dit cannnot survive touching body even with meso guard, which is what happened on the first try. Bish soloed the arms (level 142 with genesis 10) while the dit afk'ed. That took 1 hour. Then bish afk'ed and dit meso exploded all 3 bodies. That took 1 hour 30 minutes and 53 million mesos (dropping bags of 5k mesos ) Yep, this was a 2 hour 30 minute zak! Here's bish doing genesis on arms: Here's dit exploding meso bags on body 3: Drops were pretty crappy, junk weapons and a Meteor 20. However I got some nice helms, total of 4 helms dropped.
I tried Assassinate in Zakum today and it didn't dc me. Was this fixed or was I just lucky at that time?
OH great ^^ finally our bossing skill is fixed. Shame though still can't Bstep anything other than the bottom arms...
ammm i dont know if somone said it but i notice assaulter skill doing 450%dmg and savage blow do 470%dmg do u know why? cuz i remmber assaulter skill was 510% dmg and its lower then the 2job skill
